It's cool. Not gonna get it since I already have it on my Wii U and can just fire it up if I wanted though.
Still my second favorite 2D Mario though. Legitimately think it's one of the best 2D Marios to date.
That's because it is. NSMB started off great, but NSMBWii (and NSMB2 to a smaller degree) began dismantling focused level designs for the sake of multiplayer while not really looking THAT distinct from its predecessor. NSMB2 is just a lazy game; it was a decent game, but it was super generic.
NSMBU, though? Wow. Sure, it looks pretty similar to NSMBWii and NSMB2, but man. It's controls are refined and just great to use, and level design wasn't sacrificed for multiplayer. It's what NSMBWii should've been, and it's a shame that the general perception of the NSMB games prevents people from fully enjoying a very good game.
God first.

I enjoyed the NSMB on the ds and NSMBWii along with Luigi u most the rest was predictable and the brain was programmed by playing the older titles to finding where all the secret coins were. Although the challenge mode and boost mode on NSMBU was fun and added a lot to the game. NSMB2 was really bad and seemed like they run out of ideas but the DLC packs were good, really good. 5 new super mario brothers in a really short time
We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.

This makes me feel a little better about the ones I have played. The only two games I've played from the NSMB series are the first game and NSMBU.
Currently playing: Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr's Journey, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana (Switch)
@Vee_Flames Preach it. I adored NSMBU, and I might end up getting this both for casual friends coming over to play in multiplayer and never having gotten around to getting Luigi U. It's one of the best multiplayer experiences for non-gamers, and it alongside Super Mario 3D World helped me get a few of my friends into video games entirely during college.
I still curious about the new item Crown.
Okay, if Toadette can transform into Peachette, what will happen to Mario, Luigi, Toad & Nabbit if they use the Crown ?
King Mario ?
King Luigi ?
Captain Toad ?
King Nabbit ?
In the simplest change I can think of, just "New Super Mario Bros. Deluxe". They could also do NSMB Switch if they wanna keep with the system name...but it doesn't have as nice of a ring to it.
New Super Switch Bros.?

@linq yup thats the price showing on gamestop and amazon so assume its the true price. Doesnt bother me too much already have it preordered, cant wait!
@Yosheel: Eh, I'm more or less just poking fun at some of Nintendo's naming conventions. The name is fine overall, I just wondered if there's a better way to spin it.
It's nothing like explaining the "New" 3DS debacle....
