Warner Bros. Games announced today that LEGO City Undercover will be coming to the Nintendo Switch, along with releases on the PS4, XBone, and Steam. Since it was originally a Wii U exclusive, what are you guys' thoughts on it becoming a multi-platform title after 4 years?
Wii U is probably going to be the superior version of this game still as it was designed around the gamepad.
Switch will probably have better load times. Hopefully it will retain all the nintendo content as I can't see that stuff making it to the other platforms.
@Octane From what I can tell, this is going to be a remaster of the Wii U version, so I figured it would be appropriate to make a thread for it here too. As for why I believe it is a remaster:
Chase is wearing a brand new uniform, not seen in the Wii U version.
Ellie, the character in the window to the left of Chase, is holding a regular tablet, whereas she previously held a Wii U Gamepad.
The police car behind Chase was originally a police truck.
Well I never got the Wii U game, and people were recommending this to me since I never really played a Lego game. (I thought they were all just terrible quality games or something, lol)

Keep it PG-13-ish.
@Joeynator3000 LEGO games are more often than not very high quality, with the exception of a few bugs and glitches here and there. While most LEGO games are based on a particular franchise (Star Wars, Harry Potter, etc), LEGO City Undercover has its own original characters, story, and world in which you can explore.
Yeah this was way back before I saw the Lego Movie, after that I just never got around to actually trying one of the games. Anyways guess I'll wait for the Switch version now.

@Joeynator3000 Most Lego games follow a very set formula, to the point where if you've played one, you've more or less played them all, with two exceptions: Lego Dimensions, and this game. I dont own a Wii U, but from what I've played and heard it's a very good open-world game, and it sounds like the only major issues are being addressed.

Yeah my thoughts exactly. Cards will be superior in terms of load unless you install it on an HDD on other consoles, but that's not 100% sure to give you an advantage either.
I didn't play it before so definately going to pick it up.
