I have a PS3 and PS4. I've looked at Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana which is on PS4, Vita & Windows. It's going to get a physical release on Switch in a while.

I've decided to wait to get this game until I can get it on Switch. Buying PS4 games feels like you're buying "locked" games, and Switch games feel "free" because you can bring them anywhere.

I've never re-bought a game, I have Megaman 9 & 10 on PS3, and 1-5 on PS4. With the Switch however I do see a point to it and when the price is right I'll definitely re-buy my games on the Switch.

Lately I have bought for my PS4, only games that have/are VR, or exclusives (like Uncharted) - if I think it might come to Switch (3rd Party), I'm trying to wait (although sometimes PSN 'flash' sales have offers so long, if its a couple of dollars I might get it, and don't mind too much 'double dipping' on Switch later , when its similarly cheap)
I double-dipped on Rocket League for example, and played it A LOT more on Switch than on PS4 ...

I bought PS4 not because i like PS4.
Actually, i don't have any choice to play The Sims 4 console version.
So, when i got 9 PS4 games, i choose to Stop adding my PS4 games.
I will ALWAYS waiting for Switch version for upcoming games.
Whenever the games also released on Switch version as well, doesn't matter released together with PS4 version Or released later after PS4 version, i will NEVER Consider the PS4 version.
My Love is just for Nintendo, Not for my PS4.
I punish my PS4 with a treatment like that.

I haven't bought 3DS games anymore and I began to buy a lot less Steam games to be able to buy more on Switch, but now I am buying games both on Switch and on PS4. I already started double dipping some games and there are even more I want on both consoles.

I only buy Switch games on cartridge. I'm amazed how much gameplay and content is on these tiny, comfortable and shielded Switch cards, and I can really get lost in huge games such as Zelda, Xenoblade 2, and Sykrim for months. With a few shorter snacks like Mario Odyssey, DOOM, and L.A. Noire in between my other favourite genres are covered. My next several-hundred-hours RPG will be Ys VIII, and I've preordered Dark Souls Remastered.

Not me if they made for both 3DS and NS, I buy the NS only as for those only in 3DS I buy those separately. I see couple of games for both but I choose the NS first and left only 3DS games not on the NS for 3DS. Fire Emblem warriors was one I bought for both NS and 3DS.

I have a PS3 and PS4 as well, but I haven't bought any games for them since I got my Switch at launch. Not because there are no games that interest me, simply because of limited time to play and an abundance of Switch titles throughout last year that I liked more than providing enough gameplay to enjoy. (Though I admit this year hasn't been as exciting... yet!)

When it comes to games on both systems, I see no reason to choose the Playstation version over a Switch version. The only thing PS4 has over Switch is graphics. I value the versatility of the Switch far more than simply better graphics. I also don't consider VR a factor even worth considering.

Well... depend on the titles.
If the titles are quite interesting for me, maybe i will consider.
Otherwise, i will ignore those games completely.

In this case, my PS4 games.
I have 9 Physical PS4 games, but.... Only 6 PS4 games that i played. Because i had "Eliminated" (Not being played anymore) the other 3 due to available on Switch version in the future. I have these PS4 games :
1. The Sims 4
2. Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age
3. Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster
4. Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 HD Remix
5. World of Final Fantasy
6. Portal Knights: Gold Throne edition *
(I still kept the PS4 version for Portal Knights due to a little bit difference with Switch version)

And these are my "Eliminated" PS4 games:
7. Overcooked Gourmet Edition.
I play the Switch version instead due to Complete All DLC in one cartridge.

8. Yonder the Cloud Catcher Chronicles.
When i heard about Switch version in Physical from website, i immediately "Eliminate" the PS4 version , even i haven't started to play the PS4 version.

9. Earthlock
I eliminate the PS4 version due to the Switch version, despite of still being Digital download, the Switch version got the Remake version first.

Also, for another case like Street Fighter 30th Anniversary, i did the same thing.
Before i know about Street Fighter 30th Anniversary, i still put Street Fighter Alpha 3 from Street Fighter Generation PS2 & Street Fighter III 3rd Strike PS2 as my upcoming PS2 games to buy. But, after i heard the Switch version of Street Fighter 30th Anniversary, including Alpha 3 & 3rd Strike, i immediately Eliminate Both of them from my PS2 games shopping list, i write down the Switch version on my shopping list as upcoming Switch games to buy.

I frequently buy games for my other consoles. I only have handheld consoles for now.
Someday I will snap and buy some home consoles.
I only play on PC and handhelds.
I buy Gameboy, GBA, DS, 3ds, PSP and PS vita games every month.

If it's coming to Switch I will try and hold off and get it on Switch, I prefer the idea of portability and being able to take it with me, which when I'm travelling makes it easier for me to game on the go, which is also why all the games I have are digital only.

I need to get a bigger SD card soon ha!

I still buy games on my ps4 just as much as the switch. It depends on the game but yes I have held off on purchasing a game for the switch version. Case in point Battle Chasers Nightwar. A grindy turn based rpg seems perfect for the switch especially in handheld mode.

I try to held off on buying on Steam as much as possible, unless it's just a game that I don't think worth the USD price.

(Regional price being around 50%-75% of the USD price, tend to make it easier).

However, some games I definitely desperate for the Switch version instead because I probably will play more there.

Everyone sees it different-plenty of NS to be excited over but then again what excites others doesn't excite another.

Everyone plays differently

Graphics isn't everything if that was the case PC Gaming Desktop/Laptop has graphics over PS4 and can do 4K gaming. So not sure why one would use this line. The NS is not only versatile but Portable something a PS, PS4 can't do. And with more people on the move gaming on the go starts to make a big factor. Review of NS user said they used it more time in Portable then Docking because it can go with them. As to VR those games are so little it has yet to give break into the market. The NS ability to go Portable and Dock HDTV is a big selling point for those whom don't want to be stuck on the couch but NS can Dock which helps to keep the gaming at home as well when need be or in different rooms. Try moving a PS around with all the hardware doing that. I got three docks on in my gaming room, one in the living room when family comes and one in the Nintendo BackPack if I go traveling and want to Dock to the TV for zombie killing. So it is versatile it's how do you want to make it even more versatile is the question.
