Feraligatr's not my favorite Pokémon anymore, Metang is... so I want to change my username. But I don't know how. Help, please?

Admins have been known to edit people usernames as a joke so they could be able to change yours permanently.

Well, one of my biggest problems is my indecisiveness. So I've resolved to keep this username permanently, whether my favorite Pokémon is Metang or not.

I'd like my quote name to be.. SuperDuperMachuMan.

Boy people start changing names then we'll all get confused. I have 0ne I could have done (or another related version). It could have been a good one. Maybe I'll use it if I end up needing a user name elsewhere.

The easiest way to change your username is to create a new account and stop using your old one. To help people recognise you put a note in your signature about the change.

For example if Chiken Brutus wanted to change his name to Frikin Dufus he could just put a note in his sig saying "Frikin Dufus, formally known as Chiken Brutus"

Fortunately I'm known as both of those things already.

Best way to do it is simply send a request using the contact form.

Creating a new account is probably not going to be appreciated since it would appear you're creating a sock account for nefarious purposes. Obviously it would be best to limit such requests; I doubt the people that run the joint are going to want to be changing people's screen names all the time!

@Sean - The reason I suggested creating another account is to ease this unnecessary work load on the Admins, i don't believe it would be seen as a sock puppet account if as I suggested you don't use the old account anymore, and also put a little note in your signature explaining you have changed from X username to Y username.
