Hahaha, it's DEFINITELY meem. I'm surprised there's any debate about this.
Name one other word that ends with 'eme' and I'll concede that there is no debate.
Edit: I came up with crème, which is pronounced crehm.
It doesn't need precedence. This is the English language; there are plenty of outlying rules and factors that don't apply to other words. It just is. Besides, the dictionary had the word there before /b/tards started coming up with that crap
The top 7 words ending in eme are scheme, theme, extreme, supreme, phoneme, morpheme, and deme. The first four are "eem" words, but I haven't heard of the last 3. I just always thought meem sounded dumb and mehm sounded alright.
I know it's pronounced meem, but as I've chosen to adapt the English word meme instead of using the Norwegian equivalent, I've ended up giving it a pronunciation more fit for sentences in Norwegian.
The Norwegian word is mem btw, and it's pronounced mehm.

What is a btard? Is it the same as a /b/tard?

Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.

Yes, but allow me to counter that with this universally accepted statement:
Well in german pronounciation it would be mehmeh. That's why I say it like that. meem sounds stupid
You made me do this, Roopa...
English > German.
Also, you don't really get to pick and choose what 'sounds stupid' and what doesn't. I think the word 'spoon' sounds stupid, but if I pronounced it 'monkey custard' instead, I'd probably be arrested. And then killed. Twice.
Trin, he does indeed get to pick and choose what 'sounds stupid' to him, as it is his opinion. If you're joking (which i think you are, but the last time i made that mistake you rode a few of us for all we were worth), it's falling flat again.

Well, he does get to pick and choose what sounds stupid, you are correct. Thinking that what you think sounds stupid is more important than the correct pronunciation, however, would be stupid.
Also, you don't get to decide what joke is falling flat, or not. I do, it's my joke. Not my rules, TBD - your rules.
And, quite frankly, as an American, it's hardly your place to tell me what humour is falling flat, and what isn't. I've seen King Of Queens - it's not funny.

And I've seen The Office and other British TV shows. They're not funny at all

First of all, nice edit. Secondly, and to the point, her being American should have no bearing on "her place" to share her opinion of your sense of humor. So don't get your Union Jack panties all bunched up, man. It's an international community here.
