The general rule/running joke is that every even numbered Windows OS is good. Windows XP was good, Vista was bad, 7 was good, 8 was bad, sooooo 10 will be mediocre I guess since it has an even numbered name but an odd number in it's actual placement.
My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.
What benefits are there to apps? I mean, on the iPhone/iPad, they're programs you can't alter in any way - there's not folders you can access, so no one can hack into them, add user-based updates, etc. It doesn't affect the average end user at all one way or the other, but it does benefit companies by a lot.
On the computer, however, I kinda want to have access to the individual files, especially if I'm dealing with older programs (which happens a lot, at least for me, since fashion over functionality is more or less the thing these days). If I run into compatibility issues, I don't want to wait for a patch. If the developer stops supporting a program, I want to know there are still things I can do to make that program run in the future.
...except it looks here like the apps for Windows 10 will more or less function like regular programs, at least on PCs? So again: What is the point?
I suppose the point of an App Store is to have a regulated, trustworthy marketplace. You can have more confidence in the programs you're downloading and updates for each program can streamlined through the App Store. If you're computer savvy, it's not the most useful thing, but for the average user, it's a good way to avoid viruses.
Formally called brewsky before becoming the lovable, adorable Yoshi.
Now playing:
Final Fantasy XIV (PC) | The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Switch) | Celeste (Switch)

I suppose, but...just being careful and not trusting anything is a good way to avoid viruses, too...
well MS has that thing for releasing their OSes in that good - bad - good -bad..... order so I got to believe 10 will be good since 8 was really messed up......

Windows 7 was the 9th consumer installment of Windows, and Windows 10 followed Windows 8. Someone at Microsoft needs to go back to preschool.
nah it's just a secret code of them, when 2099 comes around we'll have to piece those numbers together to read the message.

They've just announced a free download of Windows 10. But if you want to try it, you have to join the Windows Insider Program, and be either a PC expert or an IT professional. You also have to be at least 18 years old or older.
