1) Looney Toons 2) South Park 3) Simpsons (older episodes) 4) Anamaniacs 5) Aqua Teen Hunger Force 6) Invader Zim 7) Tiny Toons 8) Futurama 9) Family Guy (though not the new episodes) 10) Sailor Moon
I did a top ten. Too bad. Honorable mentions to the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Pokemon even though I wouldn't watch them now.
I am way too lazy to think of something clever. My Backloggery
1. Death Note 2. Azu Manga Daioh 3. Trigun 4. School Rumble 5. Berzerk
honorable mentions to Gantz and Slayers
@Kid_A Family Guy used to be good. Back when it was the original series, but since they brought it back it's started sucking bad, and I agree about the lack of originality. I don't understand why so many people are obsessed with it now, when it was kind of a cult classic back when it was actually good.
1. South Park, hands down! 2. Family Guy, although the recent seasons' epsiodes are of absolutely random quality. 3. Futurama, it's beter than the Simpsons, let's hope the new episodes are as good as the old ones and that it doesn't have as many missers as FG has had since its comeback. 4. The Simpsons, still enjoyable though the newer seasons are not as good as the older seasons. 5. SpongeBob Squarepants, one of the few children's cartoons that is enjoyable and funny if you are grown up and did not grow up with it. One of the best examples of "watch with your kids" shows.
Honorary mentions go to:
Pokémon. this was probably only cool because Pokémon was the fad in those days.
Wicky the Viking. One of the earliest anime shows broadcasted in Europe, not sure if it aired outside of japan and Europe. It's basically about a Viking kid called Wicky who goes on Viking journeys with his father, who is a Viking captain. Whenever the Vikings got into trouble it was always Wicky who had to clean up the mess, because he was by far the smartest and most creative out of all the Vikings aboard the ship.
Ox Tales (Boes in Dutch). An anime show based of a Dutch newspaper comic. This was about an Ox who was a farmer. Even though he was an Ox he kept cows which looked a lot like him. The line between animal and human was rather vague among the characters in this show. His best pal was a turtle. Those are the only characters I remeber that could talk. It was awesome at least.
The Smurfs. The little blue Belgian bastards need no introduction. Living with 100 men in a village with only one lady... I remember seeing an episode that explained the Smurfess was actually created by Gargamel. I always wondered how Smurfs reproduce if there are originally not supposed to be any females.
American Dad. While no FG or Simpsons I rather enjoy the parts with the gay alien and the german trapped inside a goldfish' body.
Alfred J. Kwak (I forgot the English title of this show). This was written in the Netherlands as a play, but made into a cartoon by a Japanese studio. It was the most popular in holland, Japan and Germany. The interesting part of this was, when I saw it again when i was a teenager, I realized this show was supposed to teach kids about very serious issues such as Hitler, apartheid, crime and more of that stuff. I totally didn't get those things when I was an innocent eight-year old kid. But seeing it again I was surprised by how mature it was and not the innocent little show I remember.
Super Mario Bros. Super Show. It's Mario and Mario kicks ass.
There is probably dozens more but it would be a no-go listing them all.
Hey, anybody remember Kablam! on Nick? Now THAT was an awesome show!
i loved kablam! i remember all these old shows that none of my friends do. i liked invader zim, but the time i watched the third episode, Dark Harvest. that grossed me out enough to stop watching it so heres my list: Phineas and ferb the simpsons spongebob seasons 1-4 (after that it just sucked) dexters lab the grim adventures of billy and mandy (it was the stupidest, funniest, most random thing ive ever seen) avatar: the last airbender family guy fosters home for imaginary friends (why did no one choose this?) roccos modern life yugioh: the abridged series (thats still a cartoon even though its on the internet right) Johnny bravo tom and jerry kablam! hey arnold (i used to hate it, looking back it wasnt so bad)
