This thread has been created for developers to share their Wii U projects, and new info on them. I have created it due to the high amount of indie developers appearing/signing up to this site.
Sure, and hey it's not my site. Nor am I an indie developer so it really doesn't affect me.
I just thought there was fairly widespread agreement that the way indie games stopped being treated as some kind of lesser format, which I think started with Steam, has generally lead to a lot of great things. Surely we're all better off if we treat games based on how good an interesting they seem to be rather than how big a budget they're using?
I see this site have become more game developer friendly.
Same can't be said to that "Cake Ninja" guy who came here to post We were really hard on him, when we should have been even harder with no mercy.
It's a dangerous world out there, we help you get ready for it.
For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...
Just curious: how many NL forum users are Nintendo Wii U developers?
Well I am registered and able to develop for Wii U, but I haven't released anything on Wii U... yet
Cool! If you don't mind sharing, what kind of things have you had bustling in your mind? I've always been curious about the indie scene [something that one shouldn't just observe but drench themselves in. But ya kno]

I am not really sure what you mean, but the main reason I haven't released anything is time. I don't have much time to put into development sadly. Between my Job and Family development time is almost nothing. I feel like each time I get development time I have to spend most of it just catching myself up with what I did before and remind myself what I am trying to do.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

I guess I'm mostly just curious what kind of ideas do you have if you were given the time to develop a game. This applies to all peeps, not just DefHalan.
Should I post here if I'm planning on releasing my game to Wii U once it's finished? I'm sure people would love to hear about the trials and efforts put into development itself.
I have tons of ideas. i think everyone can come up with ideas pretty easily. I can tell you right now I am working on a Twin-Stick shooter that I am mainly using just to learn Construct 2. I am working on the basics and can take it in two directions. 1st an action game that wouldn't be difficult but could be pretty funny and I could market it and possibly make money off of it (just not much) 2nd more of a experimental game that would require the Player to think about the actions games normally tell you to do without giving reasons. It wouldn't be something I could market or make money off of but if I got the right people to play it, it could get known enough to possibly get me a real job.

@DefHalan I like that you're dabbling into the experimental area. I feel like that's what all developers should do, not just indies
Also, if you'd like assistance with doing music as you're creating these games, I am a composer. While I've never done anything for games, I definitely know my way around music and would love to help out anyone else who's starting out. I know creating games isn't your focus at the moment, so it isn't like I'm banking everything on this, but I am totes open for assistance to liven up whatever you (or anyone here) wishes to create
