Mario is so overrated. While I won't deny that Sonic has been in some deep pits, his best games easily surpasses every 2D Mario platformer (except for maybe Yoshi's Island). Mario might be the king of 3D platformers, but Sonic is the king of 2D platformers.

And this thread reminds me that I need to play Sonic 4: Episode II one of these days. D*mn you, Xenoblade Chronicles and Tales of the Abyss!

Sonic 2 and Generations were the only good Sonic games ever. I would say Sonic 3 & Knuckles but the fact that you had to buy two different cartridges since the game was rushed ruins it for me. Even if it's not that big of deal anymore it was back then.

@Retro_on_theGo Sonic 3 actually missed its initial release date, so I believe they were trying to work out Sonic 3 and Knuckles. Also the size of the Zones.... they were HUGE! I believe it was perfectly acceptable for Sonic and Knuckles to be sold separately. Besides, that gives you Knuckles in Sonic 2

Of course the majority of posts will be negative on a Nintendo forum, but remember a lot of them are just joking around and now the sonic fans have a place to discuss well...Sonic the Hedgehog. You did nothing wrong.

@Sony_70 No Wii or Wii U? RAAAAAAAAAGE!!! Why SEGA, why do you neglect Nintendo . I've always wanted to try the original SA2, and find big running around o3o. Then again, it's crap if you can't get Moon Jewel Chao.

Sonic is better than Mario and that is a fact anyone who says otherwise is clearly insane, a communist, a terrorist or a mix of the 3!!! its got the death egg which is like the death star only awesomer and it has chaos emeralds that like cooler versions of the dragon balls from DBZ, sure he may have starred in a few rough games he went through some troubling times but his climb back to the top is an inspiration for all, so in closing Mario sucks.

I love Sonic they have great hamburgers there and even better hotdogs.
