For anybody out there that has two arms, legs, and a functioning brain, this is the thread for you. Every day (or so) there will be a new puzzle posted to test your mental sharpness. A running tally will be kept in the first post as a leaderboard, of who solves how many puzzles. The point will go to whoever posts the correct solution first.

Puzzle #1:

A young boy walks into a grocery store with a crisp new 10 dollar bill in his pocket. The boy wanders around aimlessly, looking at all of the products on the shelves. He does not interact with anybody on his whole trip through the store, and then walks out carrying a few items. If the boy did not purchase or steal these items, how did he walk out with a Frying Pan, A Magazine, and a $10 bill?

He had those when he went in?

Neat idea for a thread, but you do realize that people will just google what ever puzzle or brain-teaser you post for the answer, right?
That's the inherent problem in having a forum-based game like this.

I realized this, that's why I'm coming up with puzzles, like the 1st one.

Happy new Year! 2013 is upon us. As a fun fact, this is the first year since 1987 to be made of 4 different digits.
There are sure to be many people celebrating all over the world today. Below are some New Year's resolutions many people have made. They have been scrambled up however, and you must solve them! Each is worth a whole point, however you can only answer 2 at most.

Okay, today is a little math.

There are 5 letters, A B C D E, and each stands for a single digit number.
What are they all equal to if:

A x B = D

B + C = E

B x B = A

E ÷ C = E

Good luck, also there may be multiple solutions. I can only come up with 1 however.
