I'm sensing a bit of fanboyism coming from this fansite. It's not like Sony is going to stop selling the WiFi enabled PSPs, so if anything it's just giving customers more options. We as customers should appreciate it when companies give us more opportunities to keep some of our money. And I can't blame Sony for skipping a U.S. release, seeing how well the PSP did in America sales wise.
A PSP model without WiFi? But wouldn't that mean that the PSP model can't get to the PSN store at all? Or am I missing something because I don't know s#%! about Sony's gaming consoles/handhelds?
No WiFi means that there's no PSN Store.
It's so embarrassing and disappointing to see Sony stoop to this level. I'm still in shock as to that they are ACTUALLY releasing this lower grade PSP. Why not simply go on and release the PSVita instead of forcing us to keep holding our breathe till the end of the year?
I've had my PSP2000 since launch-ish iirc. I've never used the WiFi feature. Every update and PSN download has been via my Laptop or Desktop and Sony's MediaGo software. Pretty simple really.
Not to mention that nintendo would never release such a console without means to connect to other consoles, leaving multiplayer modes useless.
Now, seriously, i still use my GBMicro, i love it
GB Micro is a great little console (pun intended). Got no beef with it existing. I loved mine.
Just pointing out a certain hypocricy
Hey, wait. I didn't have hypocrisy. I wasn't saying it to make Nintendo look good. I have higher expectations from Sony seeing as they are supposed to be the more macho company while Nintendo is the fun factor company. I was hoping Sony would have some edicate and just focus on the PSVita instead of trying to give the PSP mouth to mouth Resuscitation in the last hours of life.
BTW I am also aware that the Vita is supposed to be released only in Japan but I'm hoping Sony will get jealous of the 3DS and release it in the Sates and UK at the end of the year as GameStop has it on their releases sheets although they are no source of facts. Hey! Stop looking at me like that. I can dream can't I?

@WaltzElf Dude, I had some Green Tea Pudding for desert in a authentic Japanese restaurant in Disney's Epcot Studios called Tepon Edo. After my Tuna/Salmon Shashimi Bowl appetizer and Grilled Swordfish entree (grilled hibachi style), the sweet green tea flavor just soothes the palates perfectly after such a nice meal. Makes for a fantastic lunch and I make a point to stop and eat there every time I make the trip down there.

A lot of the time, GameStop just uses placeholder dates. Companies do tell them the release month, GameStop just guesses the date..
