I agree. How I beat that as I kid I'll never know.

I would agree, except most of the 2d platformers I've played in the past decade (basically anything except Kirby and other Marios) is harder and often, much harder than those levels. It's still challenging enough but it's nothing compared to most Megaman games or something like that.

Well with Zelda I'm just tired of the typical dungeon selection. It's stupid I know but I don't like the whole Link/Zelda reincarnation thing either. it's a great game, it's just not for me. Lately with pokemon I feel like I'm just going through the motions.

He was talking to a guy who said Yoshi's Island was easy. He wasn't saying it was a reason he didn't like it.

So because they're 'hard' it makes the game bad?
If anything that should be considered a massive positive considered Nintendo games aren't exactly beaming with challenge(depending)

If the later levels were easy, then I'd consider that a turn off 'since' the final stages of ANY game should be throwing down a challenge.
Growing up in the golden age of gaming like many have the retro gamer skills to pay the bills, and even though i personally haven't played too much of Yoshi's Isaldn i bet the later levels are a cake walk in comparison to the funky junk i've blasted through.

@Waveboy, Saying Fire Emblem is really relative. You probably hate TRPGs....?

Z:Twilight Princess - I never felt so annoyed and bored with a game since Shadow the hedgehog. Played TP after okami, and missed the freedom of Amaterasu running through the plains, then the annoying voice of midna, uncreative enemies, dig dig dig...Wolf,Link,Wolf,Link.

Pokemon Channel- 7 days through pain to obtain Jirachi.

Hallelujah.

@Waveboy I had a feeling that'd be taken the wrong way but I was feeling lazy today. Yes, I was referring to the guy who said the game was easy. I liked those later levels because they were challenging (at least up there with Mario World's middle worlds, which are just right in terms of difficulty, IMO).

They're amazing if you like rhythm games. Not so much if you don't...with that said, they're only impossible to play if you have no rhythm (not everyone does).

I don't really like rhythm games with plastic instruments but I loved how fun and creative those games were...

Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword
Controls are awful and completely diminished the fact factor with my experience. I also found Fi to be the most annoying thing in a Zelda game. Dying is funner than one paragraph from that... thing. She also took away the fun of exploring. The dungeons were boring and too easy, and the graphics reminded me of a fusion between Wind Waker and the smurfs.

The dialogue was awful as well. Groose? Just shut the **** up. The beginning made me want to punch a kitten in the face. And flying was even worse. The music was neat though.

Super Mario 64
The most overrated Mario game ever made. Everything has aged with this one. The linear level designs, easy boss battles, limited soundtrack, the giveaway stars, repetitive stars (red coins), etc. all make me wonder why anyone would still like this one over all of its successors. (Oh yeah nostalgia.)

Metroid Other M
What's right with this one? Voice acting is horrible as is the dialogue, exploring is out of the equation, music is nonexistent and the bosses were awful. AWFUL. I could go on but I sound like a broken record here.

Donkey Kong 64
Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. I'd rather play Super Overrated Mario 64.

Kid Icarus anything
I just dislike the franchise. The original is too hard, the GameBoy one is boring and the 3DS entry is... uninteresting as the controls are awful and I just can't follow such a shallow storyline.

Mario Kart 7
Poor track design, lack of bikes is a bummer, no bob-omb battles, online is laggy and boring, poor retro track choices, and really it all feels like a Mario Kart Wii port. I want a new game please.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong
Puzzle games just aren't interesting and this is no exception.

Mario Kart DS
See Mario Kart 7.

Rhythm Heaven
The overall games were never what I expected.

Just for you.

I don't dislike many games, but here they are.

Xenoblade chronicles: The music is fantastic! But what ruins it for me is the battles and exploration, they just don't suit me.

Steel diver: It's just boring. I can't really Seem to have any fun with it. I perfer Radar mission instead.

@Chrono_Chross Agree so much with Mario 64. And @TheDreamingHawk Yeah, Steel Diver's another I kind of hated. Thanks for reminding me.

Yeah, I don't like the first Kid Icarus, either (which is the only one I've played). It really is too hard and unforgiving. I should probably get the 3D Classic someday just to have it with restore points, though (it does have restore points correct?). That won't take the frustration out of the game, but at least I'll be able to beat it for once.

I don't tend to actively hate most games, I usually just go "meh" and move on. So while there are a bunch of Nintendo games that I'm varying degrees of "meh" on (some bordering on outright dislike), but the only games I actively hate are Urban Champion and single-player Mario Party (one of the faces on gaming's "Mt. Rushmore of Cheating Bastard Computers"). As for stuff that I don't hate, but don't like either:

Meh:

The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
Animal Crossing: City Folk
Planet Puzzle League
Yoshi's Island DS
Super Paper Mario
The Legendary Starfy
Kirby Squeak Squad
Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire
Pokemon Diamond/Pearl

Bordering on outright dislike:

Yoshi's Story
Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels
New Super Mario Bros.
