Also, Spider-Man 3. I just shut my eyes tight, cover my ears and yell really loud when Pete starts dancing.

Dark Skies seems to be doing poorly critically, but I thought it was a fantastic horror movie.

My dad says that just like the original, Tron: Legacy was a turd, but I saw it on one of those paid channels a few months ago (during a free weekend), and enjoyed it (and it made Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance all that much more enjoyable for me).

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

I really enjoyed Tron:Legacy

Movies that I watch all the time and the ones that my wife can't stand.
Labryinth
The Last Dragon
Big Trouble In Little China
The Warriors
Hook
And pretty much every movie that stars Sylvester Stallone.

@Ralizah
I would like to see that movie, the trailers looked pretty creepy. I love watching horror movies and I would say its my favorite genre to watch.

@RR529
I own Tron: Legacy and I'll agree it isn't terrible. It's pretty close though. The dialogue and characters are especially awful.
The movie would have been far better if it had focused more on light-cycles and the other gladiator style combat stuff. Those scenes are genuinely enjoyable. Everything else about the film is pretty mediocre.

Hehe, I've been watching horror movies since I was 2 years old. It is also my overall favorite movie genre.

The acting IS great, the movie takes its time to build up to the scares, and the camera work is remarkably even (none of this fast-cut editing you see in movies like Saw). Some people have said that this is basically just Poltergeist with aliens and while I can't deny the huge Poltergeist vibe I got from the movie, I think it did a fair job establishing its own identity.

It's not destined to be a horror classic or anything, but it is reasonably suspenseful and engaging.

Have you seen Mama yet? I thought it was also a decent film.

Currently Playing: Yakuza Kiwami 2 (SD)

Mama is a movie I was really excited for. I'm just waiting for it to come to dvd since I get tired of going to a movie theatre, only to have to deal with people playing on their phones. Sinister was the last horror movie that I saw and thought it was pretty good and it made me jump a few times.

The Transformers movies....I mean yeah I agree that Bay kinda went overboard with the whole...erm...

THAT...lol. But I enjoyed all of the explosions and giant robots killing each other and everything.

Am I the only person who actually thought Armageddon was a pretty good movie? I don't get all of the hate for that movie. Pearl Harbor, too.

It's pretty creepy. Both Mama and Dark Skies are superior to Insidious, in my opinion, but they're all pretty good. Unfortunately, there haven't been any real knockout horror movies released in quite a few years (arguably, the last was the original Paranormal Activity). I am definitely looking forward to the Evil Dead remake, though, and can't wait for the DVD with the unrated edition of the film (looks like some of the cool stuff from that long online trailer might not make it into the theatrical cut thanks to the MPAA terrorizing people with the threat of an NC-17 rating).

The first Transformers movie was actually pretty good.

I feel like the only guy who liked Tron Legacy a lot. I also wasn't around in the 80's so I don't know how liked the original Tron was then, but I love that one too, as eye-numbing as it is.

Also Green Lantern. I feel like there's something I'm missing about why it was so bad. (and I'm not a big GL comic fan at all, so maybe that's why I like it as opposed to most others who care about source material too much when it's not perfectly correct)

Also, yes, Bug's Life is most deserving of a sequel, thank you for someone in the world saying it's good. Even though I think The Incredibles is really #1, but Bug'sLife is easy second.

I could probably come up with a bunch of horror movies that I like but most people dislike, but two off the top of my head are 1408 and Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2. I thought both were genuinely creepy, but I have never met anyone in person that liked them.

I can't believe I forgot to mention Atlantis: The Lost Empire!

Why did everyone hate that movie enough for it to tank at the box office!? That was THE most epic animated Disney film ever made, period. I remember being obsesssed with it when I was younger; I wanted the toys, the CD-ROM games, the PlayStation game, etc.

I remember reading there was actually going to be an Atlantis ride that would replace the closed Captain Nemo one in Disneyland when it came out, only for it to be scrapped it because it didn't do well. So we got a boring Finding Nemo ride instead. Yay...

Inception... I guess some people hate it for being so confusing, but I really liked the complexity and the awesome Hans Zimmer soundtrack.

On the opposite side, I hate Toy Story 3... I thought it was way too dark and depressing for a series that brought happiness into my childhood.

@ianmage1: I agree. I despised the way they wrote out characters from the past movies.

Actually Alice (Which was her name not sure if they ever mentioned it in the film) was taken from the Pretenders line of Transformers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alice_%28Transformers%29#Transfo... So as odd as she was it wasn't Bay's idea.

The first one was ok but 2 and 3 were great movies. Iahave to agree with you compeltely about the assassin with human form Decepticon. Any Transfomer in some kind of sexual activity is just wrong and a bigger no no than I can say. That stuff was really unessecary. They also overpowered humans a bit in the movies as well.

Armageddon gets trashed all of the time and is held up by many people as an example of why Bay is a horrible director. Everyone in my family liked it, too, but outside of us I hadn't encountered anyone willing to defend it.
