so... i'm guessing the site is a joke... i mean, i'm no computer expert, but so far as i know, you can't download RAM... and those testimonies.... suspicious site is suspicious.
Yeah, it is a joke, but I am curious what it is you download lol I checked out their twitter thingy and its filled with people saying how much faster it made their computer I'm just really curious...but don't want to download a virus.

Haha, maybe the downloadable RAM was just too fast for your network monitor to keep up.

Something sorta kinda almost but not really related: My recent laptop purchase turned me on to an interesting innovation. Apparently you can stick a thumbdrive into one of the usb ports and it can be configured as extra RAM. It works in Vista and Win7 and possibly a few other OS's. I believe the technology is called "Ready Boost" or something like that.

Yeah, I think any high-speed USB memory stick over 2Gb can be used with it. I've used it but to be honest I didn't notice any real difference in speed. It doesn't seem to be like having an extra 2Gb of RAM, unfortunately.
@Rensch: Look riiiight at the bottom of the home page in tiny letters

That tech is meant to supplement the hard drive as a secondary cache for regularly used programs. It just means that instead of relying on one physical drive to load programs it uses two so you'll always see some sort of benefit unless your computer's RAM is bogged down (likely if you're using Windows) I had a similar app. running on XP back in the day with a fast SD card (4Gb) which I devoted totally to that purpose and loading apps was definitely faster although the benefit really boils down to whether or not you can cope with waiting for something to load.
The only way to improve RAM is to buy more or remove programs that are running in the background and are unnecessary. Messing about with the cache configuration for Windows rarely benefits and usually bogs down Windows in the long run. If you're needing more RAM you could also disable the preloader but that'll make stuff start up slower.
Compared to the local RAM and hard drive controller bus, USB transfer rates are pathetically slow. Using a USB memory stick as RAM is a terrible idea. If you need more RAM, buy more RAM. If you can't afford more RAM, increase the pagefile size incrementally. Making your pagefile too large will hurt performance, not help.

This is all off wikipedia so it might / might not be 100% accurate hard disk drive data transfer rate: 70mb/sec average usb 1.0 (oldschool): .19mb/sec - 1.5mb/sec usb 2.0 (now widely available): 60mb/sec usb 3.0 (coming soon to a theater near you): 400mb/sec
