Do any of you have a game genre that you really like but your absolutely terrible at?
To me it’s rhythm games.
I can do well on easy mode and normal mode but with hard it feels like I need sonic the hedgehogs speed to successfully beat the song much less FC it.
Same here. I enjoyed AVICII Invector and the Taiko no Tatsujin games, but I usually can't go past medium. The songs play a part as well. There are a handful where I can do reasonably well at the tougher difficulties, but the more complex compositions are virtually unplayable.
I also really like the Fire Emblem series, but I generally stink at them, though the more "casual friendly" (go on, stab me) options have been a game-changer. I'm at a point where I wouldn't mind having permadeath activated IF it affected the story, but when "dead" characters continue to appear in cutscenes and the like, it completely destroys the illusion of consequence, and I don't see the point in having such a feature activated if the characters aren't truly dead.
And likewise with Advance Wars. The only one I own is Dark Confict (NA: Days of Ruin), and it absolutely murdered me. It was probably the worst entry to start off with. Though I enjoyed what I had played of it, the strategic elements seemed too intricate for me to have any chance of survival, and I had given up on the game a few chapters in. I couldn't justify investing potential hours into a single map only to fail.
I'm not great at fighting games either, but I enjoy playing them occasionally. I'm a dirty keypad smasher for the most part. And in Smash Ultimate, Little Mac is my favourite character, but I also love spamming his charged fists, which often OHKOs opponents. I can't pick myself up from a fall to save my life though, regardless of which character I play. But my favourite fighting series is Dead or Alive. I absolutely loved Dimensions on 3DS and I'm still bemoaning the fact that we haven't seen ANY main series Dead or Alive game on Switch yet.
Dead Cells. Love the look, gameplay, dialogue and progression system.... but god I can never get past the Clock Tower. I WILL BEAT IT SOMEDAY THOUGH, MARK MY WORDS!

I love Visual Novels but i am such an impatient person that i tend to grow bored and stop even though some stories have a lot to offer in their later parts. Always drives me mad

I’m with you on that!
But I would say rhythm games, a lot of them i suck at, but I’m getting better. For the most part, if I suck at a game that bad, I will try to get better, maybe turn based games as well?
Nintendo are like woman, You love them for whats on the inside, not the outside…you know what I mean! Luzlane best girl!

Shumups. I adore them but don’t have the visual acuity to play bullet hell games. I’m ok at regular shumups though. Still buy every one I can get my hands on.

Fighting games. I love games like Smash, Street Fighter, and Skullgirls, but I suck at them. The inputs are just too complex for me. But I do love the feel of fighting games, especially ones that have a lot of personality.
Online PVP shooters are probably mine. I have put hundreds upon hundreds of hours across the likes of Team Fortress 2, Overwatch, Destiny, Call of Duty and probably others I have forgotten about and I am almost permanently the worst player on every team I am on. I am probably ruining everyone else’s day but I am always having a great time.
Pretty much any fighting game. I do like Street Fighter and Skullgirls quite a bit, but I'm not good at them. I'm competent enough at Smash Bros. since the vast majority of attacks are easy to pull off, but even then I'm not super great at it.
