I was thinking about getting Goldeneye soon, so I thought about trading in quite a few games at Gamestop for it.
That got me wondering though: Is there a better place that you know of where you can get better trade in values for games?
These are the games I am willing to trade in for it: Picross 3D Call of Duty: World at War Sin and Punishment 2 Red Steel 2 Metroid Prime 3 Corruption
After looking at Amazon.com's trade in values, I could get about $52 for all of those if they are in satisfactory condition. But, Gamestop has their "trade in 3 games, get an extra $10" deal. Any ideas/suggestions on what to do?
Feel free to discuss where you trade in games at as well, especially if you find a good trade-in deal.
I was thinking the same zez xD But, going to Gamestop is way more convenient than sending in my games to amazon, waiting for them to be approved, waiting to receive my amazon credit, waiting for the game to arrive, etc.

What I learned is, basically, they give you half the money of how much the game costs pre-owned. It's not exact to the cent but it's pretty much how they do it. Every time I ever traded in games, it's always the same. For example I traded in Pokemon Sapphire. On the website it went for around 30 dollars pre-owned, so I knew I was getting around 15 dollars in trade in. Which I did.

I see... well based on your technique, I'd get $10 for Prime 3 (since it's $20 used). On Amazon, i would only get $2.25 o.O
Yeah, Dragonball Z Tenkaichi 2 is $22 dollars preowned as well (and new for 20? wtf?) and I got 12 dollars for it. (might have been an extra dollar with the edgecard).
It's very close I'm sure you'll get around that amount. That's if you go now though, who know if they put any price drops. Also the estimate includes the extra 10 dollars.
I think you would just get an extra 5 dollars. Not much but... every little thing helps when you trade in stuff. Maybe you should trade in one more cheap game, like gameboy or something so you can get another 10 dollars.
All those companies that trade in games all offer the same amount. I have a Gamestop where I live and a place called Dimple Records that deals with trades for games, movies, and music. Anyway I went to both places with a stack of games and they both gave me the same amount for the trade in value. They guy at Dimple says that there is a universal trade in book something like a Kelly Blue Book for cars that these video game trade in places go buy. You might find an occasional deal like the one at Gamestop there Irken but nothing that will be that great maybe like one or two dollars.
Basically what it comes down to is who do you feel better and maybe more convient for you to do business with. Myself personally I hate Gamestop I think they are a bunch of crooks and the emplyoees at Dimple are so much nicer than Gamestop in my area so I go to Dimple.
Anyway I hope this helps and you find something that will work for you.

Well lets see I just traded in fallout 3 other m world at war for Wii and metal of honor also for Wii and got 42. Got the most for other m since it was the newest.
Oh and BTW Gamestop has done away with edge cards. Now you can still pay For one but also have a free version of the card it doesn't give you the magazines but still offers some deals. Go to PowerUpRewards.com
