If you haven't heard of any recent case regarding a student in Rutgers University in New Jersey being driven to suicide because of bullying, then you won't know what I'm talking about here.
It frustrates and appalls me to no end that Dharun Ravi and Molly Wei would broadcast an innocent young man's private life all over the internet and drive him to SUICIDE. God only knows what kind of troubles that poor Tyler Clementi had in regards to his sexuality. He was probably either having a hard time accepting himself, or maybe he was just confused as hell... and then two ignorant jack@$$es practically spit on him. And they drove him to suicide. All just to satiate their own egos.
...Really, what is this country coming to?!
I apologize if this thread is regarded as being "too controversial" or whatever, but really, I am just so p*ssed.
its a terrible tragedy. Dharun Ravi and Molly Wei are kids, both 18 years old, and the potential consequences of their childish actions were probably invisible to them. The only real justice here is that as they grow up, they'll no doubt be haunted by their actions. there is no excuse, but they'll take the bitter realism of this tragedy to their graves, and I wouldn't want to be in their shoes.
...And is this really the place to vent your anger about that?
Why not? As long as he doesn`t go on a rampage, I see no problem. Sometimes you need a bit of anonymity to vent; you can say lots of things and there is probably someone who feels the same way. It`s always nice to find out that you`re not the only one who feels the way you do.
Anyhow, I haven`t watched TV or listened to the radio for a few weeks, so I have no idea what is going on. Plus, I live in Canada, but I`m sure that will travel up here too. I take it the person was gay...I found that most people were ok with someone being gay in our high school. They might have been made fun of, but I can`t see anyone actually harassing someone about it... I am assuming that this was at high school.
Sean Aaron ~ "The secret is out: I'm really an American cat-girl." Q: How many physicists does it take to change a light bulb? A: Two, one to hold the light bulb, the other to rotate the universe.

Wow, that is terrible, how could someone be so immature as to do that? Somebody grew up under a rock covered in racial slangs, obscenities, etc.

There's all kinds of evil people like that. People who just can't accept others who are different. Different is not bad, it's just different, and they will make up everything they can just to run away from change and variety. Westboro church. The guy who wanted to burn the Qur'an, putting soldiers' lives at risk.
I cannot fully state my opinion of them on this family-friendly site. But I think you get my vibe.

Wait, what? I'm pretty sure when I was 18 I was aware enough of how harmful it would be to post sex videos of people on the Internet.
At 18 you are no longer a child. The actions of those two is complete inexcusable.
Too few people, even grown-ups realize the damage that irresponsible use of the internet can do to others or themselves. I haven't heard about this story but it sounds repulsive.
You must be a Real Weak Minded person to believe anything that on the internet, that can drive you to kill yourself.
Looks like a Troll claims a other life. that day
For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...
I agree this is a really bad situation, but you do have plenty of other options to vent, YoshiSage. Perhaps you could open a LiveJournal, Blogspot or WordPress account.
