Highly recommended to anyone who likes/loves pinball. I certainly wouldn't mind seeing this franchise grow. This arcade pinball game is great fun. I've been waiting for such a game for a long time, since MP Pinball showed that the DS was definitely very capable of delivering a very good experience. It sure is the first one to really deliver. 500 points really is a good price for this game; anyone who thinks this should be 200 needs to think about the amount of work that goes into such. I don't at all mind it being one table only since I prefer quality over quantity, and it is certainly very well made. Kudos to Fuse (creators of Metroid Prime Pinball).

I really like the LCD display. Talk about old-school, including the LCD-screen-based minigames. I'm very much digging the Greek mythology theme; I've always been quite drawn to stuff like that and it works well for the game as there's good variety in objectives and goals here. I found Medsua's challenge to be quite clever. She turns your ball into stone, and once you turn it back to silver (by shooting it into Zeus's/Hera's mouth) and shoot it back at Medusa you defeat her by her looking into her mirror image. Add to that the excellent visual polish, great ball physics, the somewhat cheesy but enjoyable voice-overs and you got yourself a great portable game of pinball. Yup, this one's a sure winner to me.

Now where's my Pinball of the Dead DS remake?

It really does feel like a proper pinball experience. I love how they crammed in the tacky old screen up top, however my only quibble is about exactly that. The points/quest indicator/cut scene screen can obscure a small portion of the playing field. Otherwise, I'd recommend this game for any fans of pinball.

Bacon, RPG elements and cute girls, what more could you want?

I'm deaf, dumb, and blind. Would I enjoy this game?

Very good pinball game, but I don't care what anyone says, this should've been 200 points. I can't complain at 500 points cause it's a good game regardless, but it's not worth 200 points, but this is what NIntendo wants to do with DSiWare, give the illusion of quality because of cost regardless if the games ARE good or not.

My complaint mainly lays with Nintendo's handling of DSiWare more then this game itself though, so ignore me. lol

Oh look. Hardy complains yet again.

Getting really old now. If you hate the service so much, please do move over to the PSP.

Wow. I mean... wow! I really don't get some of you people. That's almost as bad as the iPhone/iPod Touch apptard crowd. Why, sure, let the developers work for no money at all! Now that's a brilliant idea! **shakes head**

A game that costs less than a movie ticket, and which will more probably than not last you much longer than the latter and you're complaining? Sheesh. It's not like anyone forced you to buy the game either... I'll leave it at that. There's just too much damn f*****g whining on the internet. Get over yourselves people.

I second this. There is too much comlplaining on the internet. It's like walking into a room full of obnoxious gentlemen who then proceed to reprimand you for being lower class at intolerable volumes.

if we dont get that SD card menu soon nintendo will loose alot of money from its dsiware department. also lets have everyone tell nintendo we need this now!! they listend at GDC 09 they need to listen now!! its so unfare that the wii has it and the dsi dose not!! and hey that SD card slot was not put there just for any reson it was put there just for the SD card menu!!! everyone start emailing nintendo about this!! telll them they will loose money if they dont make this soon and that its worth all the risk for the sd card menu over piracy! nintendo can give us dsi ware firmware updates like they did with the WII'S 4.2 menu and they removed the homebrew channle but bricked some wii's. nintendo i would never ever do piracy and i love your games! let us enjoy them more with the SD card menu for the nintendo dsi!!!!!!

This is ground control to major Tom, you've really made the grade. And the papers want to know whose shirts you wear
Now it's time to leave the capsule if you dare

I would but in terms of the Minis, they are even MORE of a ripoff. lol

Also I always find it hilarious and ironic then when someone complains, the person, instead of just making a counter argument, complains about complaining. lol
See you all could explain/enlighten me how why you feel that this game is worth $5 and why the pricing structure with DSiWare is acceptable, but instead just resort to omg you complain too much.

PSN, App store and XBLA exist, they are in the same world and can't be ignored or not compared to DSiWare. DSiWare is overpriced, or at least some of the release prices/content ratio make no sense, such as this one... And those God aweful DEMOS that Nintendo released.

As for devs making money? Do you think that the sales would be the same if this game was 200? I gurantee you that they would at least double if this game was 200 points. Look at the Sims camera, it's 200 points, garbage but is beating most games out there as opposed to the great Pop+ which think is unfair, but it's BECAUSE it's 200 points that it's getting so many more sales.
This is what I don't get about Nintendo.

As good as a game this is, my opinion still stands. It just doesn't have enough content/variety to make me personally believe that this is worth 500 points. In my eyes it's 200. If it had 1 more board and even leaderboards then for sure, but just 1 board... No. 200 points.
I mean look at Pop+ solo. That game is pack with enough content and variety/modes to justify 500. Same with DQ Wars (Well the online really justifies it lol) but this game is just one board with a small amount of VO and fancy retro video up top.
Still a good game but not worth 500 points to me.

So you could counter my argument with an argument or just tell me to qq more. I don't care it's you opinion. lol Silly people.
Oh and if you think I complain on these boards, you should see my survey comments to Nintendo! LOL You can't make a service better by saying how great it is all the time, not that Nintendo will ever listen.. They'll probably get their online right in the NEXT generation or the one after.... ANYways. lol

It is if you had a Wii pre 4.0... Why they would make people go through that god aweful set up twice is beyond me.
My GUESS is that they're afraid of dem dar pirates! GARRRR! Taking advantage of that transfer system somehow that is.

Here's a really simple counter that wins the argument instantly:

Value is entirely relative. You think something (or, well, everything) is overpriced. To me almost every single DSiWare release (and I have nearly every 500 or 800 point release, and some 200) has been justified.

If you don't like it than please do sell the DSi and go back to the iPhone. It's clearly not for you if you personally think it's overpriced. I'll continue to enjoy it for what it is.

End of story. You lose for trying to claim some kind of objective truth in your opinion.

I can't believe how amazingly lazy people are who don't have the patience to wait 10 second to access a game - what did you do when you had to swap physical cartridges? Man that must have been hard work.

You too. It would take longer to swap physical games in a disc or cartridge based system.

10min is rediculas and yes im not a lazy video gamer but if you have up to 60 games you saved on your sd card would you take 20 min to look threw them to find the one you want to save to your systime memory that takes another 3min.

i realy think you should look at how happy people have become with there wii's after firmware update 4.0 also the online rants for that ended and finaly peace was brought to ign and gamespot and nintendo life ect.

also it might take days to put all your games on your sd card one by one then delete them from the dsi's 518MB or memory. gosh its a waist of your time if it will take 20min i can take 10min to the max and after that im just so mad i just want to get to my games!

also that is not true about it would take longer to swap cartridge. it takes only about 20sec to get into your game becuase you can swamp out out your game cartridge on the dsi's menu. also for dowloads i get fromthe dsi shop i want itto be atleast the same time as a cartradge would take.

10 minutes? Ok. Just as a test I will, right now, time the length of time it takes to copy the last game on my system's SD card memory to the DSi.

1 minute. At it was one of the larger games too - Yummy Yummy Cooking Jam is 96 blocks. 1 minute.

Once again, I ask - what did you do when you had to physically swap cartridges? That would take a minute too.

This is such an unbelievably lazy attitude I honestly wonder if you haven't bought yourself a motorised wheelchair so you don't need to go to the effort of actually walking <_<

No, when I decided to copy literally everything to the SD slot so I would only have one game running on my DS' memory at any one time, it took, at most, 10 minutes. To copy everything

Exaggeration to the level that you're doing it is only going to hurt your argument.

um you had to go into options go to data menu go to systime find your game who knows you might have lots of games in that old sd card then select copy. then go to menu then play. why do all that when you can go to a sd card menu and launch it from there. also we are talking about the DSI not the ds or ds lite. dont put R4 into this fight

Yes. It takes a minute. A minute. You are complaining on having to take a minute to access a game.

I take more time deciding what game I want to play FFS.

Okay people can you stop arguing in this thread? Pretty much the only allowed argument is "Does this game justify the price tag?" which I am interested in knowing.

Wow. I didn't realize that's how Medusa's challenge worked! LOL. I did see that she turns the ball to stone, but I never knew what to do after that beyond racking up Stone Ball Bonus points... Thanks for clearing that up! Wow, what a great game.
