Topic: Question about Pokemon WiFi play

For some time now, I have been unable to play Pokemon online. This is because I have a WPA2 connection. However, the DSi is compatible with this, so I've been able to play Bomberman Blitz online because of it!

So that leads me to the question, will I finally be able to play Pokemon online again since I'll be playing it on a DSi? Will HG/SS have WiFi compatibility thanks to the new DSi hardware?

Probably not. DS games are limited to the capabilities of the DS phat/lite systems, while Bomberman Blitz is a DSiWare title, made for the DSi, which is why you've been able to play it online. If you're talking about Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, it's a definite no, but whether HG/SS is designed with some wiggle room for DSi users remains to be seen (and from what i was able to find via goodle, the answer is no).

D'aww. I need to get my dad to change our connection back to WEP D:

He says WPA2's more secure though (which, frankly, it is) so I don't see this happening any time soon. Grr...

Most war drivers will only attack unsecured networks. There are a lot of people who don't use any protection, so they don't bother with the ones that actually do have some sort of protection. So unless your dad has some sensitive data on the network, he shouldn't have to worry about it too much.
