Tanks? I missed that part when I read it. Thanks for mentioning that! I cannot WAIT. One of my favourite DSiWare games. Online play would be awesome.. if Nintendo allows it that is.
I hope odenis studio removes the powerups from the shoulder buttons and add them to a different button instead. Also, online play would be awesome, though I hope if they add it I hope they can use AI in it as well.
Hopefully Nintendo was lenient enough to allow ODENIS STUDIO to include online play.
Also, I hope there are new powerups and also that they keep the feature to switch screens with the SELECT button. I'm also wondering what arenas they'll use this time around, maybe Earth countries instead of planets?
(I hope they take a page from Nnooo [Special unlockable in myNotebook for people who had Pop Plus Solo] and do something for people who own the original Pop Island.)

I'm pretty sure odenis studio didn't think about making a sequel for Pop Island and therefore didn't include one, but maybe they could administer this though an update to Pop Island? That would be nice.

A developer is allowed to access their own games save files, or at least check for them. The sequel could check to see if you have the first game installed and if you do unlock something. They can do this with the sequel, but no the first game couldn't do anything like that unless it was already programmed into it.
Odenis said they didn't want Online for the first one so unless they changed their mind if won't be in the sequel, whether or not Nintendo allows them(and I don't think Nintendo stops online).

Hard to tell what's new in that one just from the ratings description. Okay, so there are new characters. I still haven't unlocked all in the first Pop Island (towards the end the necessary scores become too much of a grind). BTW, what does the other play mode that's locked at first do?

It's playful mode. You have to take the flags from eachother's bases instead of randomly on the map.
