Me too, it's one of the games I still play daily after two years. It's just too bad that the cartridge is not compatible with WPA2 connection. Is there any way Nintendo could fix this with a update for example? I guess not...

I've been pondering whether to give Animal Crossing finally a try. Seeing that I like to play on my DS more than on my Wii and that Wii's City Folk is really just a slightly revamped Wild World, should I go for the latter over the former?

You should definitely give Animal Crossing Wild World a try! Its just as addictive as the console version plus the benefit of portability makes the DS version the best choice! I still play it to this day! Animal Crossing City Folk is still a good game but it hardly offers anything that you won't already find in Wild World.

City Folk is not just a 'slightly revamped Wild World'. In my opinion it is soooo much better. For one it's a heck of a lot easier to use. It's easier to change between your tools without having to go into your menu, so fishing a bug collecting are a lot more fun. The towns are bigger, and are on 2 levels giving it more character. The critters in the town are more friendly, and they stay longer giving you a chance to get to know them. And it's really nice having friends visit using WiiSpeak. I'll admit the 'City' part isn't all that great, but the play on the Wii version is just a lot more fun than on the DS.

But on the other side you can't have local multiplayer with the Wii version, that's a big pro for the DS version in my opinion. It's fun playing the game together in the evening with the relaxing music ^^

It's nice too that the DS version is portable. I've been playing it during my lunch break at work which gives me a chance to check the morning turnip prices - something that I can only do on the Wii by setting the clock back.

can you play with your friends online who have city folk i heard that before?

This is ground control to major Tom, you've really made the grade. And the papers want to know whose shirts you wear

I have been giving this game some time before New Leaf comes around after a whole year of not playing it.

It's the only Animal Crossing game I have (though I have played the first one, I never owned it so I could never do much) and is still one of my favorite DS games and one of the few I can go back to and still have fun with for long periods of time.

I finally maxed my house and made pattern roads around town to connect houses and buildings and I'm trying yo hybridize as many flowers as I can and befriend my animal neighbours.

Is anyone else playing this game right now?

As I mentioned, this is my only Animal Crossing game, from what I hear the town in New Leaf is huge compared to the town in this one (and this one is pretty big for me!). I can't wait to see all the new and old not-in-wild-world features New Leaf comes with.

@Morphtorok
My sister just got new leaf, and I'm trying to get back into playing Wild World now. I checked my bank, and it seems that the interest has really stacked up over the year(s). My balance is now 996,000,000. WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH ALL THIS MONEY? http://replygif.net/i/718.gif

And yet, I still can't pay someone to pick weeds.

Awesome!

You could use the money to buy everything from nook and redd and get the feathers from donations.

There's also the new game route, if you feel like starting a fresh game.

Is Wild World worth getting after playing New Leaf? I am totally addicted to New Leaf, and I am wondering if I should get Wild World too?

Wild world is really good, it might not have the same graphics and somethings in new leaf but I played days of that game. I wouldn't mind playing it again if I had someone to play with.
