I have Yoshi, Sonic, Pikachu, Kirby, Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, Toon Link, Samus, Zelda, Sheik, Diddy Kong, and Donkey Kong.
I've been to Toys R Us, Walmart, Target and Gamestop and can't seem to find ones that I don't already have. I haven't purchased any online yet but if anyone has any advice, I would appreciate it.
One fool at the BX at a military base who worked there said "you know why these are hard to find, right?" and I said, "yeah they only make a limited supply" and he said "…yeah well that, and Nintendo isn't making any more Wii U's and they're kind of going under." He made it sound like Nintendo was going out of business which is BS.
Best thing is to reserve them at a retailer, preferably one you're on good terms with. Maybe even pay ahead so they don't just sell it off to someone else.
Or you adamantly observe Nintendo's website, and get a figure as soon as they get restocked.
You can track down when and where Amiibo are in stock in certain stores. I used this site to order my Mega Man and Pit Amiibo

you should have asked him why he bothers to talk about stuff he has no idea about.
If you don't insist on getting the New in Box USA versions of the amiibos, the most simple answer is: IMPORT. Amiibos, unlike games, are not region locked; they work on any Wii U, and the figures look the exact same, only the packaging is different (so if you're collected them all out of box, it doesn't matter where you get them from). Imported versions of amiibo are often much cheaper than getting the American versions of them.
IN FACT, right now one website set in Japan has opened up pre-orders for Little Mac, Wii Fit Trainer, and even VILLAGER- Yesasia (.) com. They're for the restock coming up in Japan, so they're not immediate to get or necessarily guranteed to not have order cancelled and money refunded within the next few days (the fact they have not sold out of Villagers yet after orders being open for hours is baffling for instance) but it is an option if you're ok with spending a few bucks extra for imports (this site is the cheapest price I've EVER SEEN for these amiibo besides their retail releases). Otherwise, Amazon . com sellers and a few reputable eBay sellers may have decently cheap imports, or at least cheaper than USA versions.
It's possible Lil Mac and WFT and maybe more could get a restock, as like I said, Japan is getting a restock for many very rare amiibo. But this is uncertain, so you may want to try to secure an import pre-order now possibly even if a foreign version. Definitely keep track of nowinstock tracker and things!
As for Rosalina..... good luck with getting the Smash version of her and Luma, bud. She's super hard to get anywhere for a decent price and Target sounds like they're never going to restock them. There is the Super Mario version of her out there, otherwise you may have to trade for one or buy from a scalper. Had to do that with Meta Knight, I'd know your pain

Woops.... sorry for the wall of text. I typed it pretty quickly so I didn't cut down on size too well. Just a fellow Amiibo collector that knows waaaaay too much about things and has been staying far too on top. Sorry.

Rosalina: THAT'S THE ONE I WANT! German and UK amazon are your safest bets,Even though UK has her for £50. (£49.99) If you want to get cheaper,Go on Ebay. Just dont use the ones with stock photos.
Little mac:Ebay is your safest bet,but have a search on Amazon.
Wii fit girl:Your bets are Ebay and amazon. Just be prepared on Ebay to fork out the money. I hoped this helped you!
I went to eBay for Pac-Man and ordered from someone in Japan; figure should be posting this week. If you're willing to go global and deal with the posting charges (mine was included, but the figure was £10 more than RRP) that might be a good way to go. Luckily I pre-ordered Rosalina from the Nintendo online store before they started selling out in five minutes. As others have said getting lucky and finding one in a shop is the other likely route to avoid a gouging.
