A 'dream' Pokemon game is to choose where you want to start.
Hoenn wasn't my favorite region but I'm sure it will greatly benefit from the 3DS' power. It's claimed to be the "most beautiful region" and I won't disagree- it's set on an island so no doubt it has to be beautiful.
Sun stone, Moon Stone, Trade, Upgrade, Disk, Reaper Cloth, Protector, Ect. naa they should put more cameos in the series though

I'm bumping this thread because I have alotta new ideas for what should be in the next Pokemon game....
My favorite game is Pokemon Platinum and I really wanna see elements from that game in future Pokemon games.
1. I wanna see Battle Frontier again
2. I wanna see Cyrus again
3. I wanna see the Distortion World again
4. The gamer should always get their own apartment or shack after they beat the game
5. Villains who are really crazy
6. I wanna see N again
7. I wanna ride a airplane
8. I wanna ride a boat
9. I think a space shuttle that showed you in space would be incredibly epic

@Blast umm... pretty much what you've said plus maybe an ability that allows the pokémon who has it to learn 5 moves or hold two items
more exploration far more exploration I thought I hated giant dungeons until X and Y came with small caves that are boring.
more minigames(similar to the underground one from DPP)
a good story would work too
and maybe more freedom for people who want to jump right into competitive battling

Pokemon snap 2, Main series pokemon game on Wii U, A main series pokemon game with an actual story that let's you tackle any gym in any order you want, a rival who's actually a jerk and makes you wanna kick his a** OMG I hate these goody goody friendly rivals.

Have the feature of having a Pokemon follow you around outside of its ball return. Just imagine your favorite Pokemon following you around the region in 3D models instead of 2D sprites.

I wanna see a gym explode because of the bad guys
I want the bad guys to actually be corrupted and sadistic
I want the gamer to find out that his/her dad is captive on a island
I want amusement parks that the gamer can have fun with
I want more animation scenes
I want more sidequests
I want the Pokémon League to be a tribute to previous Pokémon games
I want the Pokémon League to be in space
I want references from other Nintendo franchises
Man... the list just runs on

I would love if the new games just stopped focusing on the 8 badges. That would still be apart of the game of course but I wish there was just more story outside of beating the bad guys on the way to your next badge. Or even if there were other choices besides becoming a pokemon trainer, like they had on the tv shows.
As far as battling, I think it'd be pretty cool if during the regular gameplay you control the trainer but during battles you actually were the one controlling the pokemon. That way it could be action based battling.
