Topic: Xenoblade Chronicles New3ds

I didn't see a topic specifically for this so point me in the right direction if there is one.

I'm excited for this version If only because I never beat the Wii version. I tend to play my 3ds much more these days and at least beat more games there. I also don't mind the graphics not being quite as good because the trade off is the awesome 3d. If I could re-buy all my games in 3d I would because it makes that much more of a difference to me. Anybody else even remotely excited for this version? It did come out of left field and it being only playable on the new3ds Will limit the user base.

Anyways looking forward to giving it a better chance this go around.

Anyways did they confirm that over here yet? Might look into this series, mainly because of Smash. lol

I'd only get it if I ever feel like replaying Xenoblade. I could always just replay the Wii version, but having a portable version would make me a lot more likely to replay a game this long.

I have been playing Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii) for years. I think it's a very good game but also is very tedious and the camera isn't that good. I am at Galahad Fortress now. I am much more excited for the Wii U sequel if it improves what I am playing now than for the 3D version. The gems crafting and arts development are really great ideas but I need a more consistent game. Better camera and better side quest and less boredom, please. The fighting system is also great but also needs to be a bit clearer. Too often I don't know what my team and I are doing.

How was the camera controled in the Wii version? You couldn't use the Classic Pro?

Yeah, I have a classic controller. I play Xenoblade Chronicles with Wii Remote and nunchuk, the camera controls with D-pad. I played Monster Hunter 3 over 300 hours this way and I didn't have issues with its camera but Xenoblade's is terrible, it seems to always go to the worse position by default.

...So you can't play the game with a Classic controller? >.> lol

To be honest I don't really see the point in the New 3DS version now that they can allow for downloadable Wii games on the WiiU. I'd rather just download the Wii version, since it'll look nicer.

The beauty of the world in XBC kind of disappears on a pixelated 240p display.

....Then why don't you if you complain about camera controls with the Wiimote+nunchuck? xD

I don't complain about controlling the camera with the Wiimote, I complain about the camera itself!

I'm hyped for this. It's the main reason I upgraded to the New 3DS.

So far my only problem is that the bottom screen display looks like I did it myself in microsoft paint.

Of course, I'm happy for all those people that want to enjoy the game in 3D, it's a great (and huge) game, anyway. I couldn't say it's not.

The bottom screen display has that Myst 3DS charm to it.

I loved this game on the Wii. Easily one of the best games on the system. I have so little time to play that I don't think I would pick it up for the N3DS. Since MH4U is going to be taking up my time. I don't see how I'd fit it in. The music in that was so amazing. Enjoy everybody who gets it. "IT'S REYN TIME!!!"

Yeah, the soundtrack is so good! I love it. I still think that the graphics are better on the Wii version and I don't think the sound can be better on 3DS.

I haven't played farther than an hour into the Wii version, but my brother beat the game already. I was in the same room for about half the game, and it's amazing.

To anyone getting the game who has only experienced Xenoblade thorough Smash: Prepare for Reyn time.
