First off i've never been a fan of Zelda games in general, always loved Mario Games but never quite understood Zelda games.
I bought my 3ds at launch and like everyone else was probably a little disapointed in the launch line up of games, after waiting patiently for some decent games to follow I decided to Give Ocarina of time a try.
As previously said Zelda games have never really been my thing, but i'd read so many positive reviews about it being arguably the "best game of all time" and all the magazines calling it "A Masterpiece" that I thought i'd give it a go.
All the comments under the review on this site seemed really positive so I thought maybe its just cause i've never tried it, maybe i've been missing out all these years by never playing the N64 origional or downloading it from the vertual console.
So I bit the bullet and bought myself a copy a about a month back, I really have tried to get into it but just dont think its for me.
Please let me make it clear that i'm not slating the game in anyway, i'm sure for anyone who like this sort of thing it really is a masterpiece as as the reviews tell us, just for one reason or another I cant get myself interested in it,
My Reason for creating this Thread is just too find out if theres something wrong with me for not liking it or if there's anyone else out there who thinks the same?
Pretty much everyone I know loves it (and Zelda games in general) but unfortunatly I cant say the same
Theres nothing wrong with you. I'm a big Zelda fan, but even I dont like OoT that much. I tried it for the first time on the 3DS version and I find it more formulaic and directed than other Zelda games. I think if you're a Zelda fan your favorite Zelda game is probably the first one you played. OoT was a big step forward, but my first Zelda game was Minish Cap, and I still like it better than OoT. People might call me stupid for saying so, but its an opinion. Everyone is entitled to one.
Not really. While the N64 Zelda games were revolutionary, they don't hold up nowadays, much like 94% of all classic games.

Everyone has different tastes. Many people in the world like chocolate, including me. However, there are many other people who don't like it at all, and not just the ones who are allergic. I think Ocarina is awesome, but a big time-consuming adventure is not for everyone.
Moco Loco If you find yourself spiritually drifting (as I was for far too many years), remember that Jesus can and will walk across the water to reach you and bring you back to shore.
Would it make you feel better to say that there is something wrong with you. Maybe Halo is more to your likeing, its a game for real gamers
For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...
Yes, there is something majorly wrong with you. You might want to get that looked at.
I think a lot of reviewers probably played and loved the original game. And if you have played and loved the original, it's a lot easier to do the same for a remake
There's no problem with you. You just have different a taste in video games preference, that's all. There's nothing wrong with having an opinion. At least you're not bashing it.
Look. If you can't find any fun in OoT, you're either an FPS fan or screwed up in the head.
Must be screwed up in the head cause first person shooters arent really my thing either
In all seriousness though, I love any kind of Mario game, be it 2d or 3d. Also love sports games and racing games rangeing from Mario kart though to gran turismo on the ps3
It's really nothing. I for one love E.T. and hate Metroid, but hey, I turned out fine.

You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!
I wouldn't say anything is wrong with you except for the fact that you paid for a game from a series you generally do not like. And you also paid for the $40 version when you could have tried the VC version for a quarter of the price. Unless you do not have a Wii which I didn't really see in your original post. Seems risky paying full price for a series you generally do not like.
there's nothing wrong with you. I've wanted to try Zelda games but just never wanted to spend the money on something i'm not sure i'll like. I just bought my first Kingdom Hearts game but only because it was 20 bucks. I wasn't going to spend 34.99 on a game I didn't know if I would like playing but I wanted to try something different.
Want: Harvest Moon: One World, Story of Seasons: Pioneering Town, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury
Finished the Alola Dex.
Now playing New Horizons, Wrath of White Witch and Sword
There's nothing wrong with you. I loved Ocarina of Time when I first discovered the series on the N64, but it doesn't deliver the kind of experience that Zelda games are all about.
Normally, I would say yes, but considering my girlfriend of over 3 years doesn't care for it, I suppose I couldn't say that without it making some kind of negative statement on her. Truth be told, it's probably a little weird, yes, for someone who loves games not to like it, but it's not wrong. My girlfriend is very directives oriented. As I went about trying to get her to appreciate my hobby, I found some games she liked, and others she didn't, but the ones she did all had the same thing in common: simplicity. She knew what she was supposed to do and how to do it. Kirby's Epic Yarn: she liked it. Goal: Get to the end of the level. How: Go right. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time: drove her nuts. Goal: defeat Ganondorf. How: explore the world and figure it out for yourself. Every 10 seconds, she was asking me where to go, what to do, who to talk to, etc.
Maybe you're not that kind of person, really, but that just goes to show that my favorite person on this planet doesn't like the game, either, so I won't say there's something wrong with you.
