Hey guys, I'm planning on selling my limited edition gold Link Between Worlds 3DS XL. Don't worry, I plan on getting the new 3DS revision when it comes out. I'm having one issue though. My 3DS XL came with a download code for the Zelda game which I redeemed and installed. When I sell, I have to deactivate my store account and format the console, meaning the game will be gone. Will the download code still work for the new owner? Or will they not be able to get the game?

The game will be gone, unless you find a surrogate system to transfer to.

Keep the console until you pick up a New 3DS, then transfer it over.

They can deactivate the games (So when the new 3DS is attached they become available) but the conditions for them doing so are unknown (And probably not very consistent).
