Well, I've beaten the first 29 stages so far (that includes catching the Pokémon). I've grown to quite like this (though I won't be spending money on it).

I haven't tried any of the special levels yet, though.

I did download and play it yesterday. Truth be told, it's a ton of fun. Getting those combos and thinking of where to move your Pokemon is really thrilling, but the wait to play/microtransaction-heavy parts are shady as hell to me.

Actually, the wait makes me want to play this game.

I think I would've played it for 20 minutes and never come back if I could just play all I wanted, like with Trozei.

It's basicay something I look forward to every so many hours.

Judging by how much everyone is mentioning how they won't pay I wonder how long it'll take before someone breaks and pays

I might consider giving them "a tip" by buying a gem, but the truth is that they aren't really worth it.

The game is perfectly playable as is, and the gems are terribly overpriced.

That is kinda the mechanic of the energy stuff F2P games use.

That's what I was thinking. I was going to ask for people to post if and when they spend any money on this.

The number of tries you get for buying a gem should be at least 10, not 5. As it stands that's not enough rounds to even be tempting.

I will definitely let people know when I spend money but I kinda feel like Coins are better to spend Gems on rather than Hearts. I got 1 streetpass from a guy that lives in my complex but haven't gotten a second one yet, hopefully I can start getting more streetpasses. I am surprised I haven't gotten any while at work.

I'm saving my gems for coins (I plan on turning in several at once to get a better value on the coins), and then the only thing I've used coins on is a Master Ball to increase my chance of capturing a particularly difficult Pokemon.

People who spend money on this likely won't admit it here. I would consider $1 for a huge amount of coins to move things along, but as it stands now, the value isn't there for real money purchases.

i dont quite understand the masterball. first of all in the german version it is called superball so i am not sure if it has 100% chance of catching pokemon or not. is it a real masterball like in the pokemon games (i only played the first generation) ?
i also dont understand when i am able to get a superball/masterball. there is no option for it before a fight. when and how can i obtain a superball/masterball?

so far i have used the gems for hearts and not for coins. so far i havent felt the need to really use coins except for more exp. one time i used a gem for getting 5 more turns in a fight after i lost, but that was not on purpose. the game asked me for 5 new tries and i thought it meant hearts and not turns...

I haven't seen a Master Ball, I have seen a Great Ball

2500

Although (at least in the Spanish translation) the message incorrectly states that they cost 2000.

Finally caught Riolu (lvl 34 I think), after like 10 tries, lol. Still, I stuck it through, and didn't even use any coin perks.

With a Regular PokeBall or a Great Ball?

It's possible to farm coins in Meowth's level.

I think every group of 3 tokens gives 100 coins.

The level is kinda short to be too useful though.

A regular one.

Also, I was just about to bring up the whole coin matching aspect of the Meowth level, but I see someone beat me to it.

Anyway, does anybody know if your pokemon evolve or if you catch the second stages separately?

I think you catch them separately since I can catch Lucario on EX stage while I can catch Riolu in main stage. But I haven't caught either of them.
