nice. thanks for the link ! i saw another review somewhere, but didnt satisfied me enough.
as for the look. yeah, it looks horrible with it. i got the black one, so it a bit less bad. but still the 3ds is a new thing, so time will give us more options i hope
I'll hold off until Nintendo puts out a new battery for sale (just like Sony did with their PSP).
Nintendo knows this is an issue for those who are on the constant go and that car chargers are not going to fix this entirely. I'm really surprised by the amount of support the 3DS has in terms of accessories and battery packs.
I don't think Nintendo will offer a bigger battery. Have they done so for any of their other handhelds? I can't think of any but I'm probably wrong.
Yeah, they haven't. But they DID offer a rechargeable battery pack for the Gameboy Advance before GBASP was even out. And there were plently of 3rd Party rechargeable battery packs so I'm sure Nintendo will release their own solution at some point especially if there is demand.
Considering the spec of the machine compared to the physical size of it, I'm impressed with the battery life it has. Perhaps they could've put a higher capacity battery in it, but that would've increased the cost. And of course, it's expensive enough as it is.
If no official battery solution (not necessarily a higher capacity battery,) is available, I won't be too disappointed.

Very true. I'll pay $50 for a battery that gives me 8-14 hours of play time (kinda reminiscent of DSi). That would then also make the sleep mode aspect last from 3 days to possibly 10 days. I'd be really happy with that and have absolutely no problem shelling that out.

Im absolutely on the same side. i dont mind shelling money for this, as long as it not insane neither. i prefer going for nintendo's brand for the guarantee purpose, over a third party product. until the need is there, I will wait. this means probably this summer with new games arrivals.
I don't really care too much about battery life since I mainly play at home, but I have a few questions about it before I'd commit to buying it. a) Does it void your warranty with Nintendo? If so, doesn't matter, I won't do it. b) If not, does it make holding the 3DS more comfortable for people with larger hands? I can play it just fine after a few days of adjusting, but if it helps get rid of the cramp I'm still getting from playing with the dpad when playing Street Fighter (it limits my overall playtime), I'll gladly pony up the dough for it.
What is the meaning of life? That's so easy, the answer is TETRIS.

a) yes. you open the hardware and excange an original part with a third party part. thats it. but customer service of nintendo is nice...so it's mor a 50/50 bet
b) yes. it helps epople with big hands because of the extra bulge
i bought street fighter yesterday, and so far so good. it uses less battery than i thought it would, but again.... geez that battery is weak. i get 3 - 4 game sessions, i usually play during my bus ride. playing ds only games, i used to recharge each 2 days, but now, its every night. i dont see any problems playing it straight from the power outlet, but when youre traveling around, a powerpak looks essential to me. i hope something else will come out this summer, elseway i see nyko making money out of they powerpak very easily.
