If the blood has indeed been censored to green (like an earlier poster stated), I definitely won't buy. Not that I want blood in my games, but I refuse to spend my money on a game that is censored for no good reason.
If the game can go uncensored on iOS, it sure as heck can go uncensored on eShop as well (it'd probably be much easier for kids to get ahold of the iOS version anyways, so this doesn't make much sense to me).
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
Alot of whine about censored and uncensored here, gamelion, maybe as a update you could add blood colours and no blood or something so people won't whine.
We can't change the blood to red just by doing update. It would mean for us paying all international age ratings again. The reason why we had to change the color is simply due to the target audience of the platform and make the game more "Nintendo-friendly". Monster Shooter is not Resident Evil and if you look at the video or screenshots it also doesn't really look like it would need red blood. It has red blood because on mobile platform like iOS / Android we don't have to pay any age rating cost and can do whatever we want with the game.
And also just to give you a bit of picture why console games are more expensive than on smart phones, for Monster Shooter we had to pay in Germany (yes, only for Germany) 1000 EUR for the USK age rating because Monster Shooter didn't qualify as "simple" game. On top of that we did pay PEGI and ESRB. And unlike with SpeedX 3D we decided to skipped AU/NZ not to increase the cost further.
I know that for you as users/gamers/consumers it all does not really matter (and it also doesn't need to matter) when you look at Monster Shooter: The Lost Levels which costs $2,99 on the App Store (the other free version of Monster Shooter is ad-funded mainly) and then you have the game on 3DS and it costs $6,99 (that's the price in America the game will have when released next week), but there are reasons why publishers and developers like us have to price games higher if the costs are higher and demand is lower than on smart phones.
We'll be releasing soon a demo and also update to Monster Shooter. How soon that depends more on Nintendo, less on us. It may be this year, but also not.
Got it yesterday and I must say it's awsome, always loved these ipod shooters (but don't own a ipod) so it was nice to have this on the 3ds, if there was something I had to be dissapointed about it would be the lack of planets/maps for survival mode but other then that it's great!

It seems Gamelion has given you a reason. To save money.
My new high score

Funny how my score was mixing in with my score multiplier.

I still want the ice planet that the ios version has.
but i think this reason sebastian is giving is wrong! sorry sebastian. i like monster shooter, played it for 15 hours, just want some extra weapons or stages so i can play more
if you would charge 2 $ for the game i can promise that more than 3X more ppl would download it!
look at gunman clive for example. i wonder how many times that games has been downloaded. if GC would cost 6 $ it would not have gotten that much publicity and so many downloads.. so i think cheaper prices will be best for both developers and gamers.
and by the way, i dont have problems with paying 5-10 $ for a nice game. i bought Hydroventure/ Fuidity for 10 $. its very nice. but i think they should have gotten much more attention if they sold it for say 4 $.
The game is OK. Not particularly amazing, but I do come back to it. I wish it had multiplayer though. Green blood also makes more sense to me, and of course the age rating would be higher, which would severely limit the market for this product.
While I totally understand the increase in price for games on Nintendo consoles, I feel there is a limit which this game crosses. I personally think this game isn't worth $7 at all, even wihtout the iPhone version being cheaper. $4-5 is much more reasonable and imo would have lead to more sales. Look at Gunman Clive.
Still, it was totally worth the £2.49 I paid for it! Looking forward to the update. I wouldn't pay for DLC or a sequel though; the game has enough content and is repetitive enough already.
Not only does the ios version have the ice planet, but they also have the spike gun and air strikes, I would really like it if these things came our way -_-
