I had a nasty shock when doing a simple Silverfish catching mission when I suddenly fish up a Plesioth. I heard rumours that was possible, but that's the first time I've seen it happen.
Since I was a Prowler and didn't have any way to repel it, I just had to keep attacking Plesioth and try to catch the Silverfish whenever it moved to a different area. When I finally had all the Silverfish I needed, Plesioth was limping so I finished it off on teach it not to interrupt my fishing.
The combined powers of Kushala Daora, Teostra (Twin Nails), Gammoth (Partbreaker for the horns, Polar Hunter because it's Arctic Ridge and Tremor Resistance) and Adept allowed me to make mincemeat out of Rajang. Adept in general works well on him for me, but I have to ask... can this guy even get KOed?! I bashed him fairly consistently with pounds and adept swings at one point, but I couldn't even make him see stars once.
But regardless, I consider him to be far less annoying than his little brother Blangonga despite the added power, because at least he isn't nearly as ******* in movement, nor does he spawn annoying minions constantly.
@meleebrawler Unfortunately the UK side of the naughty word filter doesn't like the s-word you used, so I've blanked it.
@meleebrawler he can but I kinda feel like the adept swing doesn't do much KO damage, I didn't look it up (because I don't use adept hammer anymore) but I don't think I've gotten nearly as many KOs as with regular old guild hammer.
This reminds me that I wanted to see if I can still get HG earplugs on my dreadking mixset tho...I want mind's eye for stuff with hard heads (but screw getting good charms in this game. 3h for a sharpness+5 ooo I never actually wanted or needed but none of the other THREE I could use for my bow)
I'm pretty sure adept swings do inflict a lot of KO damage... the problem is that they're very hard to land properly, especially the level 3 (and on Rajang's tiny head), and the charge time means you usually miss out on whatever opportunity you had to attack. Maybe Focus can help with that, but it still doesn't really make up for losing the ability to do that nice level 2 uppercut in the long run. Aerial works much better for me thanks to an upgraded version of said uppercut and the double whammy of mounts and KOs.
I'm a lot further behind than most people on here and I have a question. Are any of the village skills worth it? It's cool that you get two skills for the price of one but I'm not sure they're any good. Opinions?
Also, what's everyone's opinion on switching through multiple weapon types or sticking with the same weapon type?
Thanks!

As a multi-weapon user, I upgrade my weapons strictly on a need-to use basis: only upgrade ones that I plan to use immediately. This way I only need to do occasional Coal Hearted runs. Although in low rank upgrades are dirt cheap even if you use a lot of weapons; it's only the high-rank spike in cost that'll get you.

I was gonna say something, but I kinda figured people randomly stopped playing. :c
Even though I'm going back and forth between games, I'm playing this right now. (working on Drilltusk armor)

Keep it PG-13-ish.
So I fought Dreadking...I failed....wanna know why? Because I wasted 40 minutes chasing him all over the place, he wasn't even near death (had Capture Guru). Ugh...
Ended up abandoning the quest. :c
Hellblade was ok, think I can handle him, but he combo'ed and carted me twice, go figure. >_>

Is it true that Dreadking is more resistant to flash bombs, and if so, how does it manifest?
