Keep in mind you can't transfer from N3DS to 3DS.

I play on a black New3DS, and would be transferring to the MH4U edition New3DS, and back to the black New3DS. I don't really use the old 3DS anymore. It's stuffed in a droor somewhere collecting dust.

Oh ok, I kinda figured you meant you had an older black 3DS along with the MH N3DS.

Well I'm hoping he'll be tough to solo, lol. But I was just wondering if I'd be fine at taking him down at a decent time, like I said Silver took me over 40 minutes to take down at the hall.

But, like if I compared him to Dire Miralis...I'm able to solo that guy in about 25 to 30 minutes, which is what I'm aiming for with Dala.

Probably gonna be pushing the time limit solo. Not that it can't be done, but, just ask @FattyWhale_42 his experience with Dalamadur

@Iggly So the site sells New3DS XL with the capture kit already pre installed for $550 tax included. And as of now US version is unreleased so it's pre orders only. But, they do sell the kit separately for $250 (reason there's a $100 markup for the $250 kit + $200 3DS is apparently "limited supply" of New 3DS during first 6 months, and price will be evaluated for adjustment after 3 months, so in May). Problem is it doesn't specify whether you send in your 3DS or if they send you the kit to install yourself. Says "we install capture board on your 3DS". Well, can't do that unless they have your 3DS. But I noticed the item descriptions are very cut and paste, so maybe that's not actually supposed to be in the description for the kit alone.

I sent an inquiry asking for clarification (cause let's face it, I don't wanna spend $550 on ANOTHER 3DS when I already own 3 New 3DS XLs, 1 3DS XL and 1 original 3DS). I can dig the $250 kit. That's not a problem. But if it requires soldering and precision work, I'd much rather they do it than me.

Well anyways not tonight, but whenever I do get to Dalamadur I'll hunt him with one or two of you guys then. Dunno if I'll record anything tonight though.

@JaxonH: their site is pretty specific in that they won't send you the kit so you can install it, they require you to send your system so they can install it for you.

Oh really? I must have missed that part. Ok then I guess that answers my question. I might actually do it then, I just need to do some research as far as how many computers are allowed to have the software installed, can you uninstall it from one PC and reinstall on another if you ever upgrade your computer, how much is shipping, time frame estimate, etc. I'll go dig around on their site now...

That sounds like a lot of work, which is why I'll wait for Capcom to get around to it ;p

Eh, it's just what you gotta do if you want quality recorded video for PC uploading. I used to want an Elgato HD capture card for my DKC Tropical Freeze time trial runs, and the benefit to that is it would work on all my consoles. The drawback here is that it's only for the 3DS. And only the particular system you pay to get modded. But man do I want some Monster Hunter footage.

Getting close to finishing HR6 (?) quests, they're mostly capture ones anyway. But tonight I'll go online if you guys wanna help me deal with the HR7 quests. (I can't remember the number, lol) ...The ones with Rajang, Akantor and so on.

Yeah, I guess for me it's never something I would put a lot of effort into. It'd just be a nice additional feature in the game.

So I just checked the quest list, what's with those quests that require HR20+ to unlock? Are they like the Caravan quests where they're G-Rank but in the High Rank quests for some reason? lol

They're not G-Rank monsters since they don't give G-Rank Materials, but they hit hard to the point where you feel like they're G-Rank monsters. Though they still do less damage than your average G-Rank monster so doing the quests in High Rank armor is possible.

Not sure about 7-9, but I know some of the 10 star quests are G rank, and some are high rank. Which ones are which I couldn't tell you, but I know I've gotten G rank materials from more than one 10 star caravan quest, like Diablos cortex. Others, like Oroshi Kirin, have been notably high rank.

@JaxonH I think he's talking about the Gathering Hall since HR 7 has some quests that requires you to be HR 20 and up to participate in them. I know that the 10 star quests in the Caravan has some G-Rank monsters like Dah'ren Mohran.

Back then in MH4(-U) that was the replay value, since there was no G rank. After you break the Hunter Rank meter, you gain new quests by ranking up as a hook to keep you playing.

That's also the case in the caravan. It's not that the HR 6* quests are "out of place", that was the original HR section of the caravan. Everything you do in dundorma was added for Ultimate.

The gathering hall has some DLC quests that feel like G rank- that I've experienced firsthand. My goodness, that Kirin/Oroshi Kirin quest double carted @TeeJay and, who was it... @Morpheel I think. And they were in some decent gear. Even I almost carted and I'm at 850 defense! I think it's just the combination of two heat-seeking Kirins locking on to you and charging full tilt in a single area with nowhere to seek refuge. Lightning bolts and Ice flying every which way, you look to your left and see an electrified TeeJay, look to your right and see a Morpheel Popsicle, with 2 very angry unicorns charging straight at you.

NOT a pleasant experience.
