Topic: Missed Puzzle Swap Pieces Issue

Ok, when I use my Play Coins I earned on the Puzzle Swap to get a puzzle piece, sometimes, it gives me a piece I already have. Is there any way to control the pieces you get from Play Coins, or at least without it randomly filling in areas that already have pieces in them?

Nope, it's completely random, you can use every single play coin and still get pieces you already have.

They really need to do something to make puzzle completion easier...I rarely get any new pieces via StreetPass. ;/

I get the feeling Streetpass was more abundant in Japan. Only really at Gaming Conventions, Malls, or anywhere like that is expected to get a whole bunch of Streetpasses in America.

Yes malls are SP galore, or at least from people who work in the mall, but they usually have ALL hat and Puzzle pieces even though I only SP the same person who works there, but I gather the pink pieces from them, I wish I could update the 3DS demo stations in stores

Yeah I agree LordOtakWiiU, but usually the demo ones are locked by password and theres no wi-fi to even download updates. Would be cool if a Nintendo rep would travel around with a portable wi-fi doing that, but that probably wouldn't be cost effective. Problem really though is that most owners that I street pass with are really young and aren't really allowed to go on-line for the up-dates so no later puzzles. I still have 4 Mario Tennis pink pieces to finish. I'm hoping that Comic-Con will help me.

At least completed pieces don't get more. It's still a pain getting pink pieces though- I don't even have a reliable source anymore since the EB Gamee worker switched off his Wireless and I still have 20 pieces or so left. Heck, even Store 270 doesn't StreetPass anymore. I know there's someone else hunting for them at the stores, but I have no idea where they are. I just wanna get the pink ones before the 3DS dies off but at this rate it's a long, long way away and they'll add new panels no doubt.

This isn't an issue, it would be too easy if you can pick your square. It's like saying 2 Playcoins = 1 Streetpass which it shouldn't
Streetpassing isn't too much of a hassle for me. I can go on a little stroll and I can get 1streetpass, and I don't even live in a big city.

It's ridiculous when you use 2 plays coins and it might just randomly generate a piece you've already gotten...

When they release a new puzzle, it doesn't take long for me to fill it in.
I usually get a lot of StreetPass hits when I go to the city (where my Uni is).
Plus I also stop by at EB Games and a few of the workers there have 3DS's and there's a bunch of systems set up for people to play that also give StreetPass hits.

Try "balanced". If you could chose, you could have all the puzzles done in about 82-83 days. Thats no fun.

Well I live in Perth and I get plenty of Streetpass hits. I mean, PERTH.

So I think people should probably complain a bit less about the difficulty of streetpassing peoples

I have all my puzzles completely filled in, sitting on well over 100 coins at the moment, and I'm just hoping a new puzzle will come out soon. I totally regret spending all my coins to fill up my puzzles. I know there are new puzzles too because I've had StreetPass hits from Japanese players and it wouldn't reveal what the puzzle was because it wasn't available in our country yet.

I used 30 coins and got NO new pieces.
I rarely get Streetpasses, and when I do, no-one has any pieces!
