Same people that get highly offended really easily.. lol
Anyways you already said why this will never happen. A huge, expansive racing sim specifically tailored for the 3DS would take forever to develop. Nobody is willing to take that chance.
The only reason Gran Turismo sold well on their handheld is because of the brand name, and even then the actual game didn't work as well as planned.
if nintendo either got watered down ports or even full ports would be great, and who knows, the ported sim games could become bigger than ever.
If you're asking for a port it's not going to be specifically designed with the 3ds in mind. It's going to be built for something else, and then stripped and contorted to fit on your handheld.
If that's what you want, there's already one available. I was under the impression you wanted a large, impressive racing sim franchise built FOR the 3ds. That's a lot different than a port.
ports and built games are the same in ways. ports, you can rewrite a game engine to make the game run on a system not directly made for it. but a build is just an engine, complex code writing, sprites and 3d models all taken care of in one place for the designated system
Hey, VincentV wrote a meaningful reply instead of a dumb meme.
It would be nice to see a simulator. Arcade games like Ridge Racer 3D are nice, but a more in depth thing could be really interesting.
Definitely this. Ridge Racer 3D was an amazing game, but the game just wasn't all that difficult and it lacked that much variety or creativity in my opinion, the lack of online was also annoying, I think RR3D would've been a whole lot better with some online play or at least an online leaderboard for time trials.
They'll function the same as in they'll both be games that are played on a system
I don't think you understand the difference between ports and games such as first party titles. Why do you think Nintendo games maximize their platforms much better than any port does?
i do understand the difference, but lots of games that have been ported and i've played are very same controlling wise
Those games probably aren't a sim racer. Stuff in the gameplay would get lost in the transition (and I see how CPP would work, but it would be really clunky).
The mind of the publisher is probably that people that want this kind of game would rather play it on PC or a console (which is probably true. I know I'd rather play on a console, anyway). Also, the two biggest Sim Racer franchises that could get money off of brand name, and have the biggest budget for putting in a rediculous amount of cars, are Forza and Gran Turismo, which are exclusive to Microsoft and Sony respectively.
Best thread ever
