While people are talking it up about this months release of Aeroporter, I wanted to see how many people are interested in Crimson Shroud. I think this game is gonna be one of the best titles on the eshop when it arrives next month. For one thing this game is coming from a dev who's worked on Square Enix's Final Fantasy tactics and even boasts the same kind of art style used in those games, plus its gonna be a hybrid between a modern RPG and a table top-RPG. From what I saw of the japanese Guild 01 trailer , it looks pretty awesome. Let me know what your thoughts are, i'm definitely gonna download this when it comes out next month on the eShop.

I am psyched for this, but I was hoping for that rhythm weapon game too

I'll admit I'm interested in it (I do love RPG's), but the tabletop theme is worrying me. For some reason, it just sounds like something I couldn't get into, if it ends up being too pervasive.

Most of the trailers I've saw for it, either have little or no actual gameplay, which is what I think worries me the most (the other Guild 01 games showed a decent amount of gameplay in their trailers, so why to they need to hide Crimson Shroud's?).

I really hope it's good, though, but will have to wait for some reviews & solid gameplay footage.

I believe @Tsuchinoko (NL's Japan resident) said he was disapointed with it (I think he said Liberation Maiden was the only game in the collection he enjoyed), which is another reason for my worry.

@RR529 Well I can't find much gameplay footage myself, so we're gonna have to wait and see how it ends up like.

I'm interested, but lack o footage means I'll definitely need to wait a few days after it appears on the eshop.

That said I'm sure the reason why the trailer doesn't show footage is because the gameplay is a bunch of still pieces wiggling back and forth Not really exciting from a visual stand point.

I'm interested, never having played any table top but being an RPG fan. I've been trying to find game play but to no avail, only small bits of gameplay with the wiggling pieces and dice rolling. I'm curious to how one finds battles and how they work, along with the story. I did find this however, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQbb7xw3BWI&list=PL538D646... I'm guessing it is all the tracks but there are at least 29 to listen to.

as long as it is fun and has good visuals just like Liberation M then I am all for it.

I'm slightly interested in this. I just wish I could see some actual gameplay.

I can't wait. It looks fantastic, and I really enjoyed both other Guild-01 games.

If I could preorder eShop games, I would do it for this. It looks right up my ally . I'm really looking forward to it!

I imagine the tabletop RPG look of the game will start out cool and get old quick. Much like Mad World did with it's whole black and white graphic novel esthetic. I still think I'll get it, but will it be my favorite eShop game? Probably not.

Yup. I'm almost at the point of counting the days but I'll have to get a new eshop card. I have a feeling it will be a bit more then what I have left in the eshop.

KarrotMan

I'm interested, considering this is handled by Matsuno. The only recurring problem I've seen for this game is its snail pace, I recall someone saying that normal battles take around 5 minutes and the boss battles take around 10-20 minutes. I'm alright with this actually, considering the 3D models look superb for figurines and I heard the writing is great. Never Played a D&D style game before, maybe now's my chance.

I heard the loading times are pretty bad in one of the reviews. That being said, I'm accustomed to the rather slow pace in the FFT games now haha, maybe it won't be as sluggish as they say

always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)

I've got this one early for review purposes, and as with Denpa Men I thought I'd open the thread up to questions, if you have any! After all, it's a pretty rich experience, and there's only so much that can be said in a review.

If you have any questions about anything not likely to be covered in depth there, ask away!
