Just wanted to know if you guys are. I'm undecided because I want to get it on launch and everything but dont want to ruin the magic of getting the wii u version for the first time (which i have the bundle pre ordered). So let me know what you guys are doing and if I should get the 3ds version.

I'm in the same situation as you. I have a Wii U and a 3DS but I want to support the Wii U version more cuz that's the version that needs to sell more. I'm getting the Wii U version first and the 3DS version later.

I own a Wii U and 3DS. I also own a PS4!

But what really kinda sucks is that for people who are waiting for the Wii U version... the entire roster will literally got spread across the Internet within days of the game releasing on 3DS. So what's the point of even having secret characters in Wii U version if we already know who they are?

Yeah man it sucks. I am gonna get it no matter what after the Wii U version comes out, but I'm still deciding if I wanna get the 3ds version on launch.

I am getting digital versions of both

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

No, I'm getting the Wii U version.

Which I'll play for a couple hours, and then complain on the internet that it's like Brawl and not Melee.

3DS because all I've got is 3DS, and I'm hungry for Smash.

Honestly my biggest worry is how the analog pad is going to feel over a stick. Or that I'll wear it out faster.

I'll be getting both. Always wanted Smash on-the-go and the 3DS version will be a warm-up for the superior Wii U version.

I'll definitely be buying both. And a Gamecube adaptor for my Wii U

I'm more likely to get it for the 3DS because i prefer its graphical style and think i'd enjoy the gameplay more on a portable console.

Both because I'll need something to play when my Gamepad dies.

Maybe, definitely the wii u version though! I'll probably get the 3ds version if all my friends get it, which is why I ended up getting Pokemon Y...

I'm buying both.

It's going to be nice to be able to practice and get a good feel for the characters in the 3DS version. That way I'll be able to go straight to the online portion of the WiiU version when I get it, which will be nice.

I'm also curios about the WiiU & 3DS connectivity.

Looking forward to: No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again

I'm buying both. But the 3DS version looks boring.

Smash Mains:
N64: Captain Falcon
Melee: Mario
Brawl: Sonic
Project M: Link
Smash 3DS: Captain Falcon
Smash Wii U: Ganondorf

I'd be lying to myself to say I would be buying one version over the other.

Or the Gamecube Adapter.

Or the Amiibo.

Or whatever merch they milk out of it.

A new adventure, another day. One more challenge that comes our way.
