I was looking forward to this game until i saw the prices a pack of cards were going for.
Talk about a rip off, these cards should be selling for no more than £3.00 max.
I hope these prices are just placeholders, until they get the RRP from Nintendo, these prices are just taking AC fans for a ride.
I agree on the cards price I could see them selling very well if they were £3.00 or less then parents would be more inclined to buy their kids them if they're in the shop! Still I'm very hyped for this game with the animal crossing new xl pre-ordered

i can't wait to get this game. i loved designing my house in New Leaf. I'm not sure I will get the amiibo cards or not but I wonder if the amiibo figures for the other game would work in this one. It would be cool if it did.
Want: Harvest Moon: One World, Story of Seasons: Pioneering Town, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury
Finished the Alola Dex.
Now playing New Horizons, Wrath of White Witch and Sword

I think they said they did
EDIT: Now I am sad, I just checked this http://www.nintendo.com/amiibo/compatibility and they might not work, but Amiibo Festival shows TBD for them, so maybe it just needs to be updated.
well I'm not going to cry over it if they aren't compatible. I know they said that the games would interact together in some way. I just wish they would announce a Direct soon so I can find out if they plan to release that special edition AC New 3DS XL or the smaller New 3DS. It's the only reason I haven't bought the New 3DS XL yet.

It kinda sucks that the animals don't care how their house is designed, but what if there was a rating system like this: Each individual item is rated from 1-10 stars on how well it fits for each request. For example, a desk would be great for a school, but not so well for a gym. After you're done designing, the mean of the item ratings is found and that's the score of your house design. Then you'll know how well you did based on your score. This could even be taken a step further, and affect the amount of customers you get. If you have low ratings, then few will come. If you have high ratings, the animals will be flooding in.

I don't really care that there's no rating system. Animal Crossing has always been about relaxation, and being able to fill somebody's house with nothing but toasters and having them love it will only add to the relaxing properties of this game.

I think it'd be neat if they said different things depending on what you gave them, like if you leave the house empty they say how zen it is, or if full of stuff they hate they say how they want to give the things a try. That way they can still love whatever you give them, but the game gets a little more charm
From the sounds of it, this game would appear to be much more detailed that what was indicated at the e3 reveal.
One of the complaints I heard was no sharing of designs, but they have resolved that. I am very interested to see the Western response considering the bonkers Japanese sales figures.
I have been considering buying this game for cheap on eBay, but an Amazon review comment has made me not. Can anyone tell me if this is true? An Amazon review said that the only villagers in your game are the ones you initally start with. If you want more, you have to scan Amiibo cards. The review said the same animals gave him the same quests every day and that no new animals were coming to his town. I really hope this isn't true.
@utopianmachine: That review is TOTALLY FALSE.
The only villagers you cannot get WITHOUT an amiibo card are the special NPC ones. All the other villagers you can get as you play through the game.
Hope this helps you!

I think this is a great game! Sadly underrated! I urge all AC:NL fans to rent the game if possible and give it a play before refusing to buy. I think it's great, and I just bought it on a whim. It's not the same game as AC:NL was, and I think thats a good thing. We already have that, this is something new and exciting, original and fun. Enjoy!

I like this game quite a lot. I've never been a fan of New Leaf and never got how people could call this their favorite game. It was just tedious to me (though I think I was playing it wrong, because I wanted things to develop faster). I don't think there is too little to do in HHD. I already spent 13 hours something on this and it hasn't gotten boring yet. There always seems to be at least one customer with an interesting enough request (pirate, robot, woodland, spooky, ...), that makes you want to continue. If not to enjoy decorating then to unlock the special items unique to each of these requests. It's quite addicting. And made me pick up New Leaf again in advance. =]
Never want to come down, never want to put my feet back down on the ground.
Loving this game! Anyone know if the amiibo festival figures work in this game? Like does the Isabelle figure work the same as an Isabelle amiibo card?
