Topic: 3DS XL US. Release Tommorow Finally!!!

Geez Nintendo thanks for making us last (sarcastic face). Picking up my new Cherry Red 3DS XL and a copy of NSMB 2 tomorrow! Woo hoo, finally!!! Anyone else?

No XL for me. Though I plan on getting nsbm2 on the morrow.

I was planning on getting my 3DS XL on Tuesday but life interferred so it probably won't be til the 31st.

I keep telling myself that I'm an adult, I can be patient…I'm an adult, I can be patient…but inside I am on the floor throwing a hissy fit.

Still not out in Australia until Thursday.
It'll be nice to get it so I can finally send my 3DS off for repairs, but I'm not in a huge hurry considering I have New Super Mario Bros. 2 to play for now which doesn't require shoulder buttons.

I'm going to trade-in my black 3DS for $100 off of the Blue XL @Gamestop.

I wish we had all black or all white in North America but the Blue isn't bad (looks much better in person from what I've heard).

I'm getting red 3DS XL tomorrow. Still keeping the original Aqua Blue for easy Download Play access.

not me. I'm not getting it until there are more colors. Plus I have a Vita and Wii U to save up for.

My Vita gathers dust mostly. You can be the most advanced toy....but it comes down to what games you have to play? I think the red and blue are the best looking colors for 3DS XL, silver is my third choice cause stainless steel looks sorta plain like a refrigerator. The white seems like it would get dirty inside and out from hand grime. For the record, I'd fall to the floor and have a tantrum if GameStop didn't have my red 3DS XL ready for me tomorrow morning

Picking up my copy tomorrow as well. As for a 3DS XL maybe, that is whenever my big bro has enough for it .

Ok.....well, we've all heard the people who aren't getting an XL because they already have a regular 3DS.....Yadda, yadda, yadda, or don't want Mario brothers 2 because it's too much like NSMB ....yadda, yadda, Yadda. This post is more for people buying a 3DS XL, or NSMB2 tomorrow. I don't know why angry people respond to tell me what they are NOT getting, lol!

I'll pass. I'm done with being an early adopter, early adopters are suckers. Gonna wait for the inevitable Limited Edition XLs to show up before I even consider purchasing one.

Can anyone confirm my fears when the eShop says a 8/19 midnight release for NSMB2? I'm hoping it's not PST because I don't want to wait until 3 AM to start downloading.

Question for anyone and everyone who already has an XL:

How bad is the stretching really? I've heard that the pixel stretching is pretty bad, but polygons actually look better on the XL.

I'm specifying wondering how OoT 3D looks.

Correct! Tommorow is the US. Release day, which happens to be the best day, Sunday. Stretching, how so? It's the same identical resolution as the previous 3DS. How is that blowing up or stretching the image? Every title I've seen looks better on the XL. Also I hear that OOT3D and RE are even more of a sight to behold on the XL.

I'm scared about that time zone thing too. I hate when they do that. At least this time though they're giving us a concrete time. They usually don't do that.

I am going with the cartridge, I am already starting to hear a few negatives about the download. Plus I like to recoup 25 bucks or so after I get my million coins.
