Hey not sure if there is a topic like this but thought it might be useful.
If 3DS ever gets an update let us know what they updated. I just got one and I think it added the charts section in the eshop where they show the top rankings. I am not sure if there was anything else updated.

Dont think the charts came from this, checked them after update and were empty, the notification says the update includes:

  • Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments to enhance user experience
  • A correction for the screen freeze symptom experienced in the Ridge Racer 3D game
  • You can receive automatic updates when a wireless internet connection is available. When the download is complete, you will receive a dialog on the HOME Menu detailing the steps to install the update

Oh ok thanks but that's weird because I didn't have the charts but once I updated I did. Maybe the charts were added right before I updated.

has anyone experience an issue with the eshop after this update? The sound is crackling on my end

eShop sounds normal to me...and the system in general.

Yeah, I hear the crackling but only when scrolling down a list in eShop (such as charts).

It's like when something is fixed, something else needs to get fixed. Always happens with every firmware update- especially when it's supposed to fix an issue.

Yeah, I have crackling but just sometimes while scrolling like komicturtle92. It doesn't really bother me much. I'd rather have a problem like this instead of something major or truly damaging.

The charts is the only place I hear the crackling also. The charts is a new feature and I suspect it is trying to play a sound during scrolling but the data is corrupted.

Yup. A minor bug. The charts has always been there but you weren't able to see anything because "There isn't enough data" or something like that when you tried to access it. I may email Nintendo to let them know about it. I'm sure people have already done so, but I'll just do it anyhow.

I was about to post about the same, I only hear the cracking in the charts, Im relieved its not only me,

Also, can you see today's DSiWare on your eShop?? cause mine is not showing them! (US)
Not that Im downloading any of them, but it maybe has also something to do with the update.

I heard that those DSiware games that came out today will be on eShop later.

I hear the crackling noise too. Also, is it me or did that update notification come a bit late? I had already updated it like 2 days ago lol.

@7ATalavera yea maybe it has to do with turning off your system. I always get any message my wii may get because it is always connected to the internet.

I dont think so, my 3DS is off only from 3:30 to 10:30AM (GMT-6) and my Wii (same schedule and router) hasnt this issues.
