I would confront her about it. Just say "Hey, I think you stole my sons 3DS, and if you did, I want you to give it back. If not, I'll just have to file a Police Report."

You are going to either

A) Confront her about the theft
B) Contact the police

If you will not do any of those options well then your 3DS is gone then. Those are the only real solutions. I am sorry for your lost but honestly if you are not going to do anything about it yourself then there is nothing else that anyone can do. If you dont deal with her right now she will continue to do this to you because she knows that she will get away with it and you wont do anything about it. That's how thieves are.

I wish you luck in getting it back but if you are too scared to confront her, my suggestions then is to buy a new 3DS and start over. That's about all you can do.

It sounds like your best option is to contact the police. Maybe mention to her that you'll be contacting the police if it doesn't show up to give her a chance to confess, but if she doesn't go ahead and contact them.

My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.

Well, the most logical thing to do is file a police report. Theft is theft, ma'amlady. You could confront her about it, but you might wanna stop jumping conclusions, especially if she's the type to slip her tongue. Consider some other factors, and if you're pretty sure she did it, go confront her, or the police.

yeah family or not. stealing is stealing if you're 100% sure it was her call the police, if not, call the police anyway but don't make any direct accusations
