Legendslayer

Hey, Just a question
I love my 3DS, but i don't use it often due to low software selection
So, My 3DS will sometimes stay in sleep mode on the charger for 2 - 4 days at a time without being used.
Now my problem is sometimes when i open the lid it doesn't wake up
Its happened maybe 3 - 10 times since i bought it back when the price dropped to 170
Its nothing big its just i have to reboot it to get it to work again.
I don't know what it is, the user manual mentions no such thing.
Could anyone inform me
Thanks

Been there, Fragged That.

Hmm... i don't think that's supposed to happen, i can leave mine on sleep mode for 2 or 3 days and I've never had that problem.
Have you checked on other forums?

I like never shut down my 3ds.. well unless if I am ejecting my sd card/game card. However, I have no such problem.

Not extremely into nintendo at the moment, but not really into anything else either. :|

You don't need to shut it down if you're ejecting your game card. You can do that whilst it's turned on.

Legendslayer, have you contacted Nintendo customer support? They may be able to help.

yeah I was gonna say, it lets me eject both game cards and sd cards while running

anyway, that problem is weird, but at least it still works, I haven't had the issue myself though however so I probably won't be much help

My girlfriend's 3DS did the same thing when she first got it at launch.
After a while it just stopped happening though and it hasn't been a problem since.

I'm pretty sure you shouldn't eject SD Cards when the system is turned on, it can cause file corruption. Mines showed me a message to turn the system off before ejecting the SD Card and then it turns itself off... even in the manual it says not to do that. D:

Anyways, just send Nintendo an e-mail, or if you want, phone them up, I'm sure they can tell you what's happening.

I had the problem of my 3DS not waking from sleep several times, but it hasn't happened in a while. I wonder if there was an update that fixed whatever was causing it, or maybe it was a specific game I had in my system that I'm no longer using, but I do seem to remember it happening with more than one game.

If you eject the SD card, it tells you to power the system off.
