i got the 3ds since its launch. after a year, the jack seem loose a bit and starts to lose its sound. it was freaking low at first, now it begins to fail.
anyone had the same problem ? my waranty is out now...
and i cant say i really was hard with it, i care a lot to my things. especially when i paid it 250 dollars ! and seriously, i still have a generation 1 ipod and it still works perfectly, never had a jack problem. same goes with most if not all my electronic apparels which has a headphone jack in.
either way, i've had this problem with other electronics before. it's usually because the contacts inside the jack are loose (now that it's seen regular use) and they're not making the proper connections, or the jack on the headphones i'm using has been damaged or chipped somehow.. i've had good luck sticking a bit of foil down inside the jack (on the devices i've had that have had this problem) but be careful — if you put too much somehow, it will be very hard to get out afterward.
YMMV — BE VERY CAREFUL if you try using foil to fill the wobble-space. You're probably better off getting in touch with Nintendo about it tbqh.
