Ocasionally if i just lightly tap the 3ds game cartridge while it is inserted in the 3ds during play or on the home screen, it indicates it has been removed. If i take the game card out and put it back in, it usually stops this problem for a while, but im wondering if this is a defect and if i should get it checked out?

You should stop that, if you were to tap that cartridge while saving a game, you could lose all your data and never ever see it again.

I made Sheldon & Mr. Randoms back on Flipnote Hatena, now i'm a kangaroo mod that has a funko pop collection!

I'm not keen politics since that stuff is spooky, I'd rather watch SpongeBob over Fox News anyways!

I get the same message sometimes when I pound the cartridge with a ball-peen hammer.

@Rebirth112: There could be something up with the spring-loading mechanism inside your 3DS cartridge slot; a gentle tap shouldn't be enough to make the system think the cartridge has been removed. If your system is still under warranty, you might want to try getting in touch with Nintendo to set up a repair order.

It only says its removed ocassionally. A gentle tap ocassionally does it, but usually it doesnt.

A couple times when I've been out walking around to streetpass, I've come home to find the message that the cartridge has been removed even though it's clearly still inserted, and I very much doubt that it could have popped out and popped back in. Also, sometimes the cartridge doesn't recognize when I first insert it, and I have to reinsert. I've had these problems on more than one system, so I think the 3DS cartridge slots are just a bit finicky in general.
