With all the benefits to taking the 3DS everywhere you go (SpotPass, earning coins by traveling with it, etc.), I'm looking for a quality carrying case to buy along with the system. But, when I've looked at Amazon and GameStop, I haven't seen any that look good for having the 3DS attached to you in public (like a fanny pack, attachable to a belt, or whatever).
Do any of you have any recommendation on carrying cases suitable for taking the 3DS with you in public? Don't really like the idea of just keeping it in my pocket unprotected to fall out (or be slipped out by thieving expletive of choice out there). And I'm sure I'm not the only one here who plans to bring it in tow with them everywhere they can get away with! Thanks for any help.

I plan to use the same case as Sylverstone with one variation: the 3DS will also be tucked inside a light pouch to better fill our the rather large Club Nintendo bag. I highly suggest the Club Nintendo pouch if you have an account. They are very nice looking and high-quality!
I just put in my order for the blue pouch. I think having something for it to sit in is a must when I toss it in my messenger bag to walk around with and I haven't heard anything negative from people who've bought one

I saw some cases being sold at Gamestop yesterday. The silver hard- not pocket friendly one is $30 compared to a mini Travel pak that comes with a smaller case inside. The pricing doesn't make sense, as the latter is $20 and it seems you get two cases in one.
But I may end up purchasing that pouch. It reminds me of the pouch that came with the Gameboy Micro. Don't understand why Nintendo didn't follow through with the DSi or even 3DS. But whatevs
