Topic: Can I play monster hunter 4g online in Australia?

I bought a Japanese 3ds just wandering will I be able to play monster hunter 4g online on Australian servers or do I have to be on Japanese internet?
I understand that some if not most of you can't answer this since its not a easy common thing to ask.

It really depends on the game, I've heard of games region locking servers.
So in such scenario you would not be able to play.

I have Monster Hunter 4 and that works fine, I'm pretty sure all 3DS games should work online no matter what region you are in. I think that pretty much only video apps don't work in different regions (Nintendo video, Netflix, etc.). The only handheld/console game that doesn't work online outside of certain regions that I can think of is Monster Hunter Frontier G.

Regardless of where you are, you'll always connect to the Japanese servers with a Japanese game such as 4G.
