Re: Zero Escape Series Director Struggling to Find Funding for Third Title

I loved 999. However, I did not purchase VLR due to the save bug which deletes your save in a certain room. This is a serious issue that was not fixed as far as my knowledge. If this is not aknowleged, then I do support the series failure. If it is fixed, then I will finally purchase the game. I will not support medioce effort of this effect in the above case.

Just don't save in that room...; Screw that, fix it you lazy barstewards! You get no money from me.

Such a shame. I just got 999 a couple months ago. I finally started playing it and it was such a good game that I had to see all 6 endings, and it was completely worth it. I was so excited when I heard this game was coming to the US. I will not be purchasing Zero Escape due to this save bug. It would drive me crazy to lose all of my time due to corrupted save data.

Re: Talking Point: Is Wii U's Power Really That Important?

Gameplay greatly exceeds graphics (though graphics are somewhat important). I would much rather play the original Final Fantasy than almost any new game out today. There is a lack of difficulty and gameplay today that is very disappointing to us retro gamers. Beating a game used to mean something. Now it is just like watching a movie; There is no sense of personal achievement (There are some exceptions). Today it should be a balance between gameplay and grahpics to please the older and newer generation, even though substance is greater than looks. The new generation has been greatly deprived, and has a bad reference of what video games are supposed to be measured against.

This is going to happen, but I'm not okay with it. I love knowing that I own the physical media to play without licensing issues from huge companies. Why lease a car when you can buy it? It will ruin gaming as we know it. It is a disease that should be stopped, but it's all about money, and it will happen.

I own many of the games on the list. I wish I had more of them (2K12). Skyrim is a great game. The others are okay depending on what kind of games you like. I enjoy playing older games like Final Fantasy Legend III for Gameboy, NES games like Crystalis, SNES games like Super Punch Out, N64 Perfect Dark, Playstation2 Soul Reaver 2, etc. I still enjoy the new games as well. I would like to think that a hardcore gamer plays games of all generations, game companies, genre of games, etc. I enjoy a lot of games, but I definitely do not enjoy the majority. There is a nostalgia to older games that will keep you connected to them. If you give some of the newer games a chance, they may also bring you back from time to time. Or not, just saying.

Re: Japanese 3DS Sales Hit New High in Christmas Week

I am not anti-Microsoft, I love my XBOX 360, but I am anti-Sony, and I have the right to be. This website IS named nintendolife. Nintendo came out with the touchscreen handheld, and Sony later came out with the PSP. The Wii was copied with the Move and Kinect. The Wii-U which will interface the home console to a touchscreen handheld, will more than likely be copyed with the PS4/Vita. Nintendo takes the risks and that's why they are the leader. It has nothing to do with ...spanning back into the 1800s; Look how that turned out for Sega. All I'm saying is that you have to respect Nintendo because they have shaped the industry of video games more than any other company. What's the point of making a big announcement like this if you can't throw it in Sony's face, lol?

Wow. Wait until MH4, which is supposed to be a global release. Also Kid Icarus, Tekken, Metal Gear, Resident Evil, Paper Mario, too many to list. The eShop has been adding games with a quickness. What if they end up releasing another Smash Bros.? The sky is the limit. Nintendo is the leading innovator in the video game industry. Who would Microsoft and Sony copy if there were no Nintendo?

This game is a must have for anyone who played in when it came out, even if you already have Tetris Party Live. For the price of 1 large cheeseburger, you can't go wrong. This game bring me back to when I first got the original Gameboy. I hope they come out with the Final Fantasy Legend Series someday... or Final Fantasy Adventure even.
