Being able to purchase a game once and play it on multiple Steam Decks is a big selling point. The way Nintendo handles this is so backwards and family unfriendly.
Great video. As much as it pains me to say it, this feels like just another anti-consumer move by Nintendo. The Animal Crossing one island per Switch console was outrageous. In addition to my Switch and my copy of Animal Crossing, I also bought each of my two girls a Switch Lite and their own copy of the game. Only to find out that they far preferred playing Roblox on an iPad.
This looks fun. And I second the idea of getting some Midway Classics on the Switch. Though I've never been great at it, I've always loved Robotron. The colors, the sounds, the adrenaline. Eugene Jarvis nailed it.
I would have a really hard time deciding between Metroid Prime and Super Metroid. The former is my favorite 3D game of all time; the latter, my favorite 2D. They’re both masterpieces. If I had to choose between them, my choice would switch every other day. I hope we continue to get more 2D and 3D entries for decades to come.
For me, part of the joy of the Switch is that it’s a dedicated game console. I don’t want social media, browsers and streaming services muddying the waters. I would like an Acitivity Log, some kind of voice chat option and an easier way to find and add friends. I also wouldn’t mind seeing Nintendo try something like Miiverse again (Switchverse?).
I think Splatoon should be the model moving forward. So satisfying. Particularly if they can keep the current pace of updates. I could see Nintendo going the same route with Mario Kart.

@GrailUK I second this! There’s an entire generation that has never truly experienced Robotron 2084 or Defender. Digital Eclipse, make it happen!

Re: Nintendo Not Looking To Churn Out Yearly Sequels To Its Core Franchises, Feels DLC Keeps Games Feeling Fresh
@MrMario02 None of those are Nintendo's core franchises. Nintendo can't control how third parties want to serialize or monetize their games.
