Many Gamecube games makes use of it's analogue triggers. The Switch joy cons and pro controller don't have analogue triggers. You'd have to buy a Switch Online GameCube controller to be able to play the games. Can't see them doing this with that limitation.
Looking at what little media is available of the Switch 2, it doesn't appear to have analogue triggers either.
