As much as I like Castlevania 2, I already have it on Wii VC. Why do they keep releasing the same games? I'd love to see some GB and GBA games for 3DS.
I loved this game, one of my favorite Wii games or probably of all time. I really loved the atmosphere. Still need to get the Drunk Dad ending.
It's true that once you figured how the game works it loses the suspense, but still I really enjoyed and replayed it 4 times. Thankfully the game is not too long.
It's also true some people had problems with the controls. I didn't have any, but my brother who is a gamer (but isn't used to Wii controls) had a lot of trouble in the nightmare sections.
Am I the only one that liked Mirror of Fate more than LoS? I thought Mirror of Fate was a very good game, except for the music which is disappointing compared to the classic Castlevania games. I started playing LoS recently, and of course it has better graphics and all, but I felt the gameplay was better in Mirror of Fate. And I also liked the story more.
Amazing, Nintendo needs more games like this to add more variety to the console, with third parties refusing to colaborate maybe partnering them like this is the only option they have.
Game looks great and I'm more convinced to buy a WiiU now.
lol, c'mon guys the quality is poor but isn't as bad as old phones, at least is better than my Nokia E5 =p It could be better, sure, but is good enough if I need to find something quick. Only problem is it crashes a lot.
I recently felt the need to play again MM2 and MM3 and wanted to try something new so I downloaded 4 and 5. I found out there are a lot of mixed opinions of which was better of the two, but seems most people prefer 5 and some even hate 4.
Well, after playing both of them I'm on the side that prefers 4 over 5. For me MM4 is right there in quality with MM2, with better level designs and great music. The only two big flaws it has for me is the HORRIBLE! sound effect when filling your energy or the bosses energy (so slow and annoying) and the horrible music in Wily's castle. Other than that I thought it was a great game.
MM5 on the other hand felt so uninspired. It has some good ideas like the Gravity level or the bike in Waveman stage. Some musics are great too like ChargeMan, WaveMan, Wily's Castle or Protoman Castle, but others were pretty forgettable.
And the game is VERY easy, the easiest MM game I've played by far. I was beating bosses in my first or second try with the Megabuster, it wasn't even necessary to find their weakness which was disappointing as that's part of the fun. And I thought finding all letters would add to the exploration but they're very easy to get with the exception of Stoneman stage.
The game was clearly made for people not wanting a challenge, as you'll get a lot of lives in this game, I kid you not when I say that after defeating 2 robots I already had 8 lives. And the rest of the game is the same.
In short, MM5 is a good game, but pretty forgettable. If you don't want to be challenged and frustrated you can play this or MM2 in normal difficulty. But imo 2, 3 and 4 are a lot better and more fun to play.
@unrandomsam I also liked X more, is my favorite Mega Man game, but I feel X2 was more polished (for obvious reasons). Someone playing them for the first time may enjoy more X2.... but who knows =p
I'm glad it's not a long game, I rather have a short game that I can play over and over, than a long game that I may play once or twice and never touch again.
@ikki5 Yes, I know I can transfer them, but then I wouldn't be able to play them on the Wii. With a proper account system there's no reason I couldn't have all my downloaded games on both systems. In short, I don't want to do the transfer thing if it's not necessary and I want to feel safe if something happens to my consoles.
Not what I was expecting, I hope they're testing the waters and still working on this. I have a lot of Wii VC games and I refuse to buy a WiiU until they make a proper account system. And if for some reason (Mario, DK, Zelda) I get a WiiU, I won't transfer any of my games to it, there's no point as I could easily play them on Wii.
I just hope it never gets stolen or stops working....
9/10 for me. The game has a lot of flaws like the story is a mess, a lot of backtracking and repetition (fighting the Imprisoned 3 times! Who was the genius that thought that was a good idea?), some musics are average, and a lot of unnecessary motion controls.
With that said, I still enjoyed it a lot, it was very fun to travel the world even if I didn't care much about the story or the characters. The colors looked vibrant unlike Twilight Princess and it had some awesome ideas in bosses or collecting bugs and stuff to improve your equipment. I really enjoyed that. And I loved the combat with Motion Plus too!
I'm near the end, still looking for the last piece of heart before going to the final battle. It took me a lot of time because sometimes I lost interest and stopped playing it for several days if not months. This also happened with Twilight Princess, both are very good games but with flaws and uninteresting moments that just extend the gameplay and make it more boring than it should.
As a kid I wasn't a huge fan of this game, the graphics were great and the intro music was amazing, but at the time I thought other musics were boring and I lost interest in it. The only Castlevania game I had played before was Simon's Quest, which I loved.
When it appeared on the Wii VC I gave it another try and boy was I wrong! This game is amazing, the music and controls are perfect and some special effects still hold very well today. The only negative thing for me are the boss battles, there's really no strategy involved in most of them, just whip as fast as you can.
Of course then I downloaded Rondo of Blood and although it improved some things (jump in stairs, back-flip, special attack) I enjoyed more Super Castlevania IV for the amazing atmosphere it has. Both are great games though, highly recommended.
Now this is a bundle I'm tempted to buy. As much as I like Zelda, I already have Wind Waker for Gamecube and I don't like that the game is downloadable and not physical.
Now if only Nintendo fixed the account system......
I still love this game, have it on the Wii VC. I didn't like the second game and never played the third one. Maybe I should try it as they say it's the best.
BTW, I don't have a Wii U but I don't like they're only releasing the same games as in the Wii VC. I want to see something new, how about N64 games?
I just told a friend about this, he made a weird face but when I told him the cost, $130, he was immediately hyped for it! Man, I'm starting to think this will easily outsell the 3DS in Christmas. ALL parents will buy this easily over the 3DS!
There are a lot of kids out there without a 3DS because their parents were scared of the 3d effect. Believe me. I totally understand the point of this, a cheaper alternative without 3d might sell a lot..... but why can't it close? It won't fit in any pocket and the screen might get scratches inside Mom's bags.

Both X and X2 are great games, I think X2 is a better game but X has better music and overall I enjoyed it more.

Great! So glad I haven't bought any of those games, I'll buy the first Zelda and Link's Awakening
Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (Wii)
Finally finished it! Probably my favorite ending and final battle of all Zeldas!
Great game, with flaws and everything, but I still enjoyed the ride. Unlike Twilight Princess, I have the desire to play it all over again.
Re: Nintendo Updates Available Club Nintendo Reward Games in North America
I already have Zelda for GBA, but I'm tempted to get it again. I'm also interested in Dillon's but I think I'll get the sequel instead.

It has to be said again just in case:
THERE IS A LEVEL SELECT:
Highlight Game Start and hold down Right on the d-pad. You'll be able to play levels you already reached.

The games are very good so I'm glad they're selling really well. My favorites are Mii Force and the Gardening game which I found very addictive.
