It's still pretty lame in the US too. Target is the only store ive seen to get re stocks and it was only their exclusives. Amazon gets some but they sell out quickly and only over priced ones are left. There's still a bunch I've been looking for and haven't been able to get.

Yeah, a bunch of stores in my town never even got amiibos. I was there at the midnight release and gamestop only had a few characters and a couple of each. I never saw villager, I figured I had time to get him since he's not too popular. Now he's going for 80 dollars. Is crazy. I don't see why nintendo limits their stock like they do. Obviously they could sell a lot and make good money.

Why does NoA nintendo suck so bad? ! After getting my order canceled from best buy I've been watching the news feed, hoping I still have a chance, but everything is always for the UK

The rarity of the device isn't what draws me to it, its that it looks amazing, is my favorite nintendo franchise,and based on an excellent game. If it wasn't limited edition people would still be crazy for it, including myself. Maybe knowing not everyone has it would make it feel a little more special, but I don't care how many people get it, I still really want it; but best buy canceled my order because they suck. Making more would help the situation because fans would buy them regardless of the rarity, nintendo would make way more money and people would be happy.

So BB just emailed us saying they canceled or order since they couldn't meet the demands but they'll give us a 50 dollar credit. this is fraking ridiculous.

@DerpSandwich I don't know, while I do prefer it as a portable, animal crossing city folk was excellent too. I might just be biased because I love every animal crossing, although I think wild world was a let down, I think on a console would be good too. I think it gives more room too, better online interaction. Animal crossing does seem ideal as pick up and play though.

Animal crossing for the WiiU would be awesome, but I do love it as a portable. I hope we get some new dlc though, it would be neat if new furniture and clothing series would get released to keep the game from getting stilted. I usually play the games for about a year and a half and then kind of forget about them, although I will fire it up every now and again for holidays. I think new dlc would be great instead of waiting like 4 years for a whole new game.

@Nicolai aw that really sucks then :/ I hope you get yours! I want rosalina too but haven't had any luck. It sucks because I'm not trying to collect them, I take them all out of the boxes and use them. I just want my favorite characters but oh well. I guess it's not too big a deal if I don't get them.

@Nicolai haha sorry. I'm still nervous though, I just have this fear that they'll end up saying we didn't have enough so we canceled everyone's orders. Until I have that baby in my hands I'll be kind of on edge. But I'm also telling myself its just a silly console, if I don't get it I'll just wait a few months until some new colors come out and I'll get one of those.
Also hoping nintendo makes more amiibos. I'm so sad I can't get a villager. I love animal crossing and fighting as the villager on SSB, I thought I'd have all the time in the world to get him since he's not super popular, boy was I wrong. And all preorders for upcoming waves are sold out online

@Nicolai that was what I was afraid of. One of our orders got canceled and the other one hadn't been charged so we called customer service and she said in no uncertain terms that our order was through and we were definitely getting one. She said it wouldn't be charged yet, but didn't say when we would be, I'm assuming when it ships or a couple days before

@JellySplat really, the canceled orders won't go up for resell? That really sucks because the extra one I ordered was for a friend so I told him at least he knows he still has a chance to get one

Nintendo seems to have hit the perfect storm at the moment, everything is selling out. It's been so hard and frustrating trying to get amiibos. Everything majoras mask is gone within seconds. I had ordered 2 of the 3ds,one for myself and one for a friend so one got canceled. I'm bummed about it, mostly because I didn't see a limit anywhere on the site (but I was frantically buying haha) but I understand why they're doing it. And I hope it allows more fans to get one instead of scalpers. And I can't help but feel a little special because it is limited,but I would want it just as much if it were just a regular mass produced one. Nintendo has been stressing me out lately.

@Akira_1975 same here, I have four so far and I think I'll leave it at that, I don't want to deal with the stress anymore. It sucks that something meant to enhance the joy of games has become so crappy

@SavoirFaire that's what I don't get. I mean yeah, make a few at first as a test run, but when you see how popular they are just make more. It's not like they don't have the materials anymore.

@treeofmana me too,I thought it'd be so easy to get the villager since he's not as popular, little did I know he'd be part of holy trinity. These amiibos are stressing me out. I don't even want them all as collectibles, I just want my favorite characters.
