Re: Sega Reportedly Launching A New Pokémon Arcade Game

It reads "COROGARENA" in roman letters in the photo. It's a bit blurry, but I am pretty sure then that it's called Pokemon "Corogarena" and not "Cologalina", not that "Corogarena" makes much more sense. Maybe it's the word "arena" mashed with something else, but I haven't a clue.

Re: Random: Have You Spotted The Tiny Typo Nintendo Missed In The Latest Switch Update?

@dartmonkey Are you sure that this is NOA's doing? We typically get the same stuff in Canada, and I distinctly remembered seeing "Send a Batch" in version 11.0.

Checking version 11.0.1 right now shows the same thing. Specifically, I see:
-Send to Smartphone (instead of "Smart Device")
-Only This One (instead of "Send Individually")
-Send a Batch (instead of "Send Mutliple")

It hardly matters, but I am curious to know which regions are actually affected by this, and would be surprised to find that Canada is getting a different "English" than America. Indeed, a quick check of "System" under "System Settings" shows "Colors" without a 'u' (in the option: "Change Display Colors"), so I am pretty sure that they are not tailoring a specific version of English for us.

Re: Rumour: Square Enix Trademark For Luminaries Of The Legendary Line Could Be Related To Dragon Quest

@brandonbwii Having read a brief synopsis on Wikipedia, I would say no, since there isn't much of a "Legendary Line" to speak of. The Japanese subtitle for DQ VII apparently translates to "Warriors of Eden", though the Japanese subtitle for DQ II translates to "Gods of the Evil Spirits", which isn't that similar to "Luminaries of the Legendary Line" either, despite my previous post explaining why I think this subtitle refers to DQ II.

As Faustek indicated, these probably pertain to the upcoming mobile remakes of DQ II and III. Having played those games, I feel confident that the "Luminaries" of the "Legendary Line" refer to the three main protagonists of DQ II, which happen to be cousins and descendants of the Legendary Erdrick (AKA Loto in the NA versions). The "Seeds of Salvation", I would guess, refer to the six mystical orbs that one must obtain in DQ III in order to ultimately save the world from Baramos. Finally, despite the first DQ also being released on mobile in Japan recently, it makes sense that it would not lead to a third trademark being found, since the first DQ was the only entry in the series to be released in Japan without receiving a subtitle.

I find it very unlikely that these subtitles refer to DQ VII, which is a shame, as I have played all but VII-VIII and X. I do know, from what I've read on the internet, that DQ VII is a very, very long RPG, and presumably contains a lot of text, which is probably why it hasn't been localized yet.

On the bright side, if they do localize the first three DQ games on mobile, it might mean a surge in dragon quest popularity, which might ultimately lead to DQ VII being localized. All we would need then is an HD remake of DQ VIII on Wii U, though I am assuming the Wii U would have to take off in sales before SE considers it.

If you search for Rush in the little search box top-right in the Wii U eShop, you should find it. I know I just did and just purchased it.

Also, by searching for "Aeterno" in the 3DS, I managed to find the promised demo, and by searching for "Level 5", I found that all Guild titles minus Aeroporter are actually discounted to $4.99, as it was in the Europe update.

Re: Get a Load of This Retro Rap

@arrmixer Oh wow! Did not catch that (I listened to the video without reading the article). That does clear up things, though The Neptunes' N*E*R*D stands for "No one Ever Really Dies", as opposed to "Nothing Ever Requires Discipline". Perhaps it's a reference...

Back on topic: The rap is pretty good as far as "90's video games" nostalgia goes, and I've got plenty to spare... though I kept wanting to hear the rest of "Juicy" everytime the Biggie sample came on. I also got a bit of early 2000's Jay-Z nostalgia ("I want you back" and "Juicy" are prominently featured on "Izzo" and "A Dream", respectively). Good catch Thomas!

@arrmixer What makes you think this is a Neptunes track? Richie Branson is virtually unknown, and, well, the Neptunes are quite the opposite. Furthermore, I'm not hearing any musical cues which would indicate that the Neptunes have touched this.

I'm just asking because I personally couldn't verify who produced this myself. If you know something I don't (or hear something I don't), I would be obliged to hear it.
